Those gauges look awesome! I know that you had that done a few years back, but you have a ballpark cost on just the gauges? Looks like a bunch of $$$.

+1 on the Mar-K stuff. I have used their stuff in the past with good results.

I think that will be the easiest way to add the gauges since everything else is already painted.

I just had it taped on to check the fit. I won't put the trim on until all of the body panels are on and aligned.

I got the gauges from Summit. I think the total was around $550-$600. Here's some more pictures of the front brake lines going to the master cylinder, the Flaming River tilt column, the CPP steering shaft setup and my custom made glove box emblem, :metal:.

Rob, I have a few questions. Hope you can share some of your wisdom.
You are using the ECE motor mounts correct? I am starting to install a LS2 in my 72 GMC truck. I also have the ECE mounts. What headers would you recommend, the Thorleys? I will be using a 200 4R trans, which is still in the truck. My LS2 is like a 01 or 02, and I would like to use the mechanical fan that's on it. I wonder if I can use it with the stock radiator? Why did you go electric, radiator to fan spacing?

It was hand carved.....:metal:.

I really like the Thorleys. If you look at my 67 Crewcab thread you can see where I used the mechanical fan with the 5.3 it put in it. You can use the factory radiator, but you'll have to figure out the hoses to make it work. Several people have done it on t his board. Here's a good thread to check out:

i like that. where did you get the sending unit? will it work with stock GM gauges? i like to tap mine into the plug on the intake by the water neck. i seen it on a factory impala so i stole that idea.

I ordered them from Dakota Digital. They were $2 each + shipping.

That didn't include the cost of the bezel or having it assembled, just the gauges. I didn't make the emblem, I had a boardmember MrGoodplierss make it for me.

Thanks. The sending unit came with the gauges and the bushing came from Dakota Digital. I'm not sure if it will work with the stock gauges.

One gauge will be a dual boost/vac. I've already got tranny temp. I was thinking wideband and oil temp?

Here are a few pictures of the modification I did to my "drive by wire" gas pedal that allowed me to install a stock 72 CST pedal in it's place. I also got all the steering linkage cut and connected.

Here are some pictures of what the inside of a "NEW" engine looks like when I pulled the valve cover, :metal:. I'm thinking about painting the valve covers, but I can't decide between red or black???? Also, any suggestions to where to install a oil temperature sender for a 4L60E? TIA.
