Agreed, and thanks for the support. School is picking up a TON of momentum. We had our first exam and I demolished the grading curve ...making 45 guys fail... :D
I was in class thinking.... "What would Allan Do?" You'd be proud... lol |

Technician B says that when welding magnesium, a magnesium electrode wire should be used to help ensure good weld quality. Who is right and why? *Technician A says that a tailor-rolled blank may have different types of steel designed into each part. Technician B says that a tailor-rolled blank is a seamless structure with varying thicknesses. Who is right? And if you catch your edit fast enough (within 5 minutes) you get your edit button back before it's permanent.:metal: |
Re: My 1965 build thread
Lookin good Alan.
|
Re: My 1965 build thread
nope b then a
i didnt see the why.. b kinda.. well you can tig it. so mig only whould not be correct. a. because it hould be the same thickness. |

In regards to structural automotive applications you are not allowed to repair or weld on Magnesium or Ultra High Strength Steel at all. The tailor rolled blank is one seamless piece that has a hydraulic roller form it to create thin spots for crumple zones. [/threadjack] I'll take whodunits for 1000 Alan. Where's pics? |

Have a great one. I've been doing my yard, then got called out for some computer jobs. I wonder if our trucks will ever hit the road (again).

Re: My 1965 build thread
I hope so. Mine was off the road for about 9 years before I bought it. At least it's getting attention now. Hope to be running before the end of the year.
