Thanks ..... to be honest i think its more 3 - 5 but i'm not sure (honestly) . I just received it from my son . He's moved to other things so I took the truck off his hands . It will be a fun project for me. I still have ALOT to learn. That's why I'm here . Learn learn, did I forget to say Learn (LOL). I hope you are all ready for a rookie ;) .

Thanks for the welcome. This forum has a fantastic community and a wealth of knowledge. I can't wait to be apart of it .

Here is a 90 shortbed I bought late last year. It had no rust I could find so it made for an easy paint job. I added the hood scoop and two tone around the bottom trimmed off with red stripe and did the tailgate, I had to replace the gate and it was from a GMC with the aluminum strip. I removed it and decided to make my own design for it. It runs very good and has a 350.

1988 chev silverado 2500. tbi 350. yeah, shes ugly, i know. bought it last spring, sold it last spring, for 500 more than we bought it for. it just didnt like to go. almost no brakes. would backfire from the carb if you put it to the floor. leaky exhaust. tires were almost gone. plow was run without a blade, and needed a new spring and all new spring mounts. i think the oly good thing about the truck was the plow blade we put on it, and the restore we poured in the oil fill!

oh, and i almost forgot. i tryed to take the tires off one day...yeah, that didnt happen. it couldnt even spin the tires in gravel. old old, worn out 350. it was a 5th wheel before we got it.

On the walk to University this week I come across this poor girl stuck in the snow. Kinda looked like it had tried to become one with the snow...
I should say that we don't normal get this much snow, this is easily the biggest snowfall that I can remember in the last 12 to 15 years.

Very Nice lighting. How much were the lights. I may try this on mine later on.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

The LEDs were $5.95 each. There are 5 of them. There are less expensive alternatives, but I wanted the high power SMD LEDs for mine, so I spent the money for them.

It really is pretty simple. Due to having to actually dig into the cluster and pull the gauges out, it's not quite as simple as the same job on a '96-'98 cluster, but it is a very basic job.

I kept waiting around for someone on some forums to give proper info on how to do the job on the moonie gauges, but it never happened. Plenty of people were doing the work on '91-'94 needle clusters and trying to apply that same information to the moonies, but that's just not the case. I had a little extra money for some LEDs and the truck isn't leaving the garage anytime soon, so I figured I'd tear into it and figure it out for myself.

Yeah. It'll still probably take another 2 years or more to get those final 153 miles.

That is a nice looking truck. There is one here in town that is just like that without the bedrails and tool box. Just as clean too.

Yeah me too, couldn't pass em up, my cousin bought a new 07 and at about 5,000 miles put aftermarket wheels with 31's on it. sold me those wheels and tires for $400. Would've spent more than that just for tires on my old rims which I sold on craigslist for $250
