My 72 GMC daily driver - Been working on him for 5 years. Swapped in a zz454 with Fitech EFI, msd ignition, 200hp shot of nitrous, motorized exhaust cutouts, lightning rods shifter, all new doors, hood and fenders and beefed up tranny. This spring I am putting in posi and fixing up the suspension and taking it to the drag strip for the first time and last time just to see what he will do. Should put out at least 600hp at the crank. Hoping to be somewhere around 12.5 - 13.0 secs? Learned so much from this board.

Long time lurker, first post.
Here's my 72 K20 I've been working on the past few months. Picked it up right after New Years and I've been going through it ever since. Finally got the suspension and tires on after a lot of not so glamorous work like rebuilding the brakes, wheel bearings and seals, steering box and linkage etc. Still needs quite a bit to get back to it's former glory but it's a fun project.

10BamBam01, very nice truck! You better be careful at the strip other wise you'll break the axles. It's also nice to see another member in Iowa!

Bcash, sweet K20! I have a soft spot for orange ones, and K's.

A recent pic hauling sod with my 70. Original engine, auto tranny have run great but hopefully an upgrade coming in the next 18 months. That and I need to replace the original leaf springs and shocks. Any suggestions on replacement suspension (I heard Tuff Country's kit was awesome) welcome!

I installed the tuff country ez ride 2.5 inch lift about a year ago. It has performed well. Decent ride, and it only took my son and I a day to put it in. I also upgraded to the nitro shocks.

Thank you,

yes there was one installed under the rear seat which I removed and now wish I kept...

I'm plugging the hole with a CB whip antenna

Here is my 1970 GMC K2500 that I've had for the last 2 years. I have gone through it and replaced or rebuilt just about everything that moves. Lot of man hours into this old girl. All done in a driveway.

Its currently for sale. Just fixing it as I go so I can make some shows this summer and enjoy it until someone wants it more than I do.

Thank you. I took it for its first drive in 10 years the other day which was an awesome feeling.

I am leaning towards keeping it
