It's been a while and I photo'd another old print. Not your digital image most are accustomed to these days. This was 40 years ago.

I have a scanner, but don't know how to get it operating with my laptop. This quality of pictures are the best I can do.

1974 picture of my future Mother-In-Law with their '71 Suburban...with 5 girls, a regular station wagon just wouldn't do!

1976 picture of a dirt bike trip taken to the Lake Elsinore CA campground (same '71 Burb)...future Father-In-Law was very cool to let us borrow it for overnighters (and very trusting of his daughters???). Yes...that is a '70 Boss 302 Mustang hauling a three-rail motorcycle trailer!!!

Great memories for sure. The kids loved climbing on the racks of my work trucks. I had long walkboards that projects beyond the length of the truck. They loved climbing on those.

Great pictures, vehicle, family, and all.

Here is the one truck with the walkboards. The longest is 24'. I also had a 30 footer. Here's another of the same truck and same Blazer. The kids are having fun with a Heath-kit trike frame I scavenged off a job

40 something years ago, I bought an old chevy from a local cropduster company. It was retired and used as a cattle hauler and abandoned a few miles from my childhood home. Its not a 67-72 but it is a chevy. It was my first pickup build. I'm sorry that I don't have an after shot of it, but I painted it light blue and white. I sold it when we got married in 82 and it was still on the road in the late 90s. Havent seen it since. As a side note, the 56 ford beside my Dad's building received a chevy 327/t350 when I put it on the road.

This 1961 Apache was my 1st vehicle in high school. Photo taken 12-23-78. Just set my newly purchased used "tall" tires next to it to see how it would look.

My 72 Cheyenne I owned in high school, circa 1985, 307 /3 speed, original paint, 8 inch steel wheels with ralley centers. I sold it to buy a 68 SS/RS 396 convertible Camaro on March 30, 1986... I still own the Camaro. Followed the trucks ownership until about 2 or 3 years ago when it sold and went to Va I was told

Nice Ride for sure. You are way ahead in the money/investment game with the Camaro though.

A photo that my Dad took of my Uncle Ellis (cowboy hat) his sister Ione and their Brother Richard with the 71 GMC that I have owned for the past 15 or so years.

I'm not sure when the photo was taken but am thinking over 30 years ago and maybe 40.

Another nice beginning. Cooler truck in HS than most have grown up!

A great photo just having them all together. I saw trucks displaying vehicle weight on the lower front of bed on driver side when I traveled out west after HS. I got back home and did that on my truck. People around here always asked what that was about, why I did it, and such. At some point they stopped doing that on western trucks, too. I always thought that was neat, although I never looked into the official reason it was done/required

Thanks Tim, it was a cool truck...not a show truck but still pretty nice for a school boy and I was very proud of the ol girl. She treated me well, didnt like fast shifting as was the case with most 3OT's.

It still holds a huge sentimental spot in my heart!!

My SIL digitzed thousands of slides we found in my mothers possessions and presented it to us this Christmas. What a gift! Awesome memories. Still going through them all.
My dads 68 with Granny and Grandpa sitting nearby.

The old firetruck my Grandpa got running for the nearly finished volunteer fire department in Crowley Lake. Both him and my father spearheaded the fire station project.

My maroon 69 GMC Sierra Grande from 1983, and my green 72 GMC Sierra Grande 4x4 from 1987 - I might have been "one" of the first to put the rally wheels on one of these trucks! - the SWB pic paint was far better than what is depicted - this was a black/white to color conversion.

I especially like your GMC. At that same time I had my first 73-87, a '78 short bed, that color (called Mahogany) with a black snap on tonneau cover. I sold it to get a '71 Blazer. I decided I wasn't ready to move on yet . I was always washing and waxing that truck...and not the K/20!

My dad's 72' when he picked it up new at S & J Chevrolet Cerritos, Ca., later in the snow in Reno, Nv. and when he hit two black angus cows on 395 by Lone Pine, Ca.
