Re: My Facetruck thread.
I had a bad end of the week and weekend. But feeling a little better now. Hopefully no more fevers, I don't want to go back to the hospital. That place is bad for my demeanor. ...lol

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Yeah, us old guys don't need anybody messing with our demeanor.

These guys were messing with my demeanor in a good way. Really brought my spirits up watching this cartoon episode at the end of Spring Carlisle '10. These were my neighbors through the show. Not next door, but I was set up where I took the pictures from. I couldn't believe they were even considering this load job. They tried pretty hard. The one guy pried up on the rollback's running boards to clear the trailer fenders. They were forced to aboard when the ramps on the trailer had so much weight on them they wouldn't budge. That rollback was barely on that tail and it had the pickup on it hanging even farther back. Can anyone else see the problems with this load?

Re: My Facetruck thread.
at a glance, if that rollback was landed level on the gooseneck, the p/u on top might be over height limit and possibly overweight for truck/trailer ratings..
but I've seen a lot of sketchy looking stuff all highway legal within equipment weight ratings.. either way, amusing to watch I'm sure :D |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
That whole pickup is behind the trailer wheels. I think the tow vehicle's rear is being lifted by all the trailer tail weight. I'd hate to see the wag on that thing on the hiway at speed...if this load was physically possible, which it wasn't. It was very entertaining to watch

Holy Hangover Batman !

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I'm surprised the rear wheels on the dually are still on the ground.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
lol, you guys are right about that.. scooted the picture around my phone and that is indeed a sticky wicket.. one good pass over the tracks and take-off!

Re: My Facetruck thread.
The biggest problem with it is a Ford Pulling a Ford hauling a Chevy. But I guess someone has to carry the boombox in the entourage.
|
Re: My Facetruck thread.
LoL, and even two f o r d s couldn't pull it off :chevy:

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I think a Ford Ranger could do just as well as that F350 considering the zero tongue weight (and the fact that haul had reached it's end before it started).
I'm chuckling now at a neighbor. We have about 8" of snow and he's clearing it with his new little Kubota with a front end loader... without removing the mower deck!! The bucket is narrower than the deck. Aren't these new lawn tractors designed for the decks to be easy on and off? Maybe not, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone plow with the mower deck in place before. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Pretty ridiculous to have the instructions in such large letters. I'm surprised no one has taken him up on that.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
We had a new Chevrolet company truck rammed last week down in the delta.
The truck was parked in the yard at a house next to Main Street. A guy ran off the street, up through the yard and underneath the rear of the truck. He produced an insurance card, but of course it turned out to be cancelled. |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
well, our momma dove lucked out again.. one egg rolled out but the other hatched..
even through all the rain we had last week, the survivor is looking good.. and one thing I noticed, she's not flogging me everytime I go through the door.. guess we're buds now :) https://dl.dropbox.com/s/u039ux7i918...%20II.jpg?dl=0 |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I've discovered bird nests in some crazy places. It's amazing how fast they can be built.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
For years We had an open 50'x50' shed at work. The barn sparrows took that over.
WE closed the shed in, but it still took years to plug all the holes so they couldn't build a nest. |
