Took a lot of time, but well worth it! I showed it at a GoodGuys car show the month we finished it, then took it to Hollister Hills that same month and go to Pismo on a pretty regular basis. Thanks! |

The Front bumper was a Craigslist find (classified ads)- pulled off another 1971 GMC pickup. Its a WARN aftermarket bumper but I fabbed on it a bit to add the D-rings and skid plate - they punch through to the frame with 4x4x1/4" angle iron. The farmer said he had it dealer installed or maybe he did the install himself back right after he bought the truck because he was using it getting firewood and he pulled down trees off banks with it... It was a lucky find - got it for 100 bucks I think, sanded it down, primer'd and rhino lined it. Has the same angle as my grill and fits like a glove |
Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
hmmm looks like if you find some bumpercorners that look like the ones that are on there you should be able to make sumtin simulair , the rest is all straight metal maibe a 50s 60s big truck would have a bumper that can be modified that way
