9.5 up front would be hot rod cool with 12.5 on the back. I would like to see a picture of that one. Is it on here anywere? I tried 10.5 up front with 12.5 rear that have from my old 81 c/10 just for Saturday afternoon entertainment.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
SWEET ! .
SWAR , I like the skirted bed you have there..... My '69 is still in the paint jail although it's beginning to look oh so purty :chevy: . It came to me with a lacquered Oak bed but I gave in and bought a full Southern Hard Pine bed wood kit for it from Mar-Co , it arrived a few days early , I'll prolly run it down there this week if the rain holds off . He's having conniption fits because I'm going to work it (my SHOP TRUCK , duh ) , so I told him I want to thin some black paint and slurp it on all sides of the wood before it's assembled to the bed . He yells " all that $$ and you want it PAINTED BLACK ?!?! " . Why yes , of course ~ that way it'll last another 42 years and still look good.... . He went ballistic when I showed him where to weld the rope hooks onto my previously *perfect* original bed and tail gate ~ gotta have rope hooks to properly tarp down loads , right ? . I even found the original 6 cylinder factory tachometer a fellow Trucker here sold me a while back ~ I'm rebuilding the entire gauge cluster , adding a factory vacuum gauge , removed my old period correct " Motor Minder " vacuum gauge ~ it'll go into another of my old junkers , vacuum gauges are very useful if you know who to read them . |

I hope this comment is within board protocol (as I'm not posting this for sale here), but look for it in 67-72 classified section. And......I needed to get past my 399th post!

I'm new to the C-10, so I have no clue what these wheels are. I gotta crawl up underneath and find out if they'll clear OEM discs up front...

van rallies powder coated white with full wheel covers. 235/75/15's all four corners. I wish someone re-popped the center caps of the wheel covers. Mine are pitted pretty bad

My latest ride, this is pretty much how I found her, and the way she sits today.
Can't wait to get started on what ails her. https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7687/1...811f3273_z.jpg |

It looks like original paint . They're only original once , too bad GM was so slack about corrosion protection else there would be scads of nice '67 ~ '72 rigs out there instead of crispy rust buckets :me2: |

She is original, and will stay this way for awhile.. Still have to buff out the gate & hatch. I'm also going to try my hand at some dent-less paint repair especially on the passenger door and front fender. |

I think I would find a paintless dent repair guy that does it for the dealerships. They have some special tools that make it almost unnoticeable on the newer cars with thin metal. On an old truck I doubt that even they can make it perfect partly because the metal is heavier and harder to work. And they are usually working with door ding type dents that don't stretch the metal as much as bigger dents. |
