Hey guys!
I have been slackin on updates so here are a few...
I received the material samples for my seat, so I matched them to carpet samples that I had already acquired, and ordered my carpet...(I can't wait to see the seat)
My carpet arrived, so I started the install...(did I mention that I can't wait to see the seat?)
I will be ordering some additional carpet & floor-mats to finish-up all of the visible areas, but this is what it looks like so far.

Did I say that I can't wait to see the seat????...Clem? Are you there? LOL!

Very cool. I truly appreciate a show truck. It takes so much dedication to complete a build to the level you have. Congratulations!

I wish that you would hop a jet to come over to help me put the hood on!
I can't do it alone!...Fact is, i don't want to be wrestling around it and the hood latch while adding A/C, and I do not want to do it twice.

Sound deadener and carpet are smokin' hot..........
If I had the funds I'd hop a jet and be there in a sec to help toss on the hood.
Lookin' really good.

It has been a lot of work, but sometimes I even look at it in awe!

I am pretty sure that I bought 100sq. ft. and there isn't much left, but I also did inside my door skins & door panels..

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!

Hey guys!
I spent the last two weekends sanding & rubbing this thing!
What a huge amount of work!!!
I started off wet-sanding with #1500 grit and did a combo of wet-sanding by hand and using a D-A with #3000 grit.
The pictures don't really give any justice to how nice it really looks.
I am thoroughly pleased!!!
3M makes some nice products, but you get what you pay for...
Here's a few pics.

I still need to rub the hood & front fender extensions, but I am getting there!!!
