i only have one on the drivers side because the passenger one is usless and the drivers one is just about as usless, haha i guess its just there for looks.

can you see out of them up high or are they useless because i want to put them up on top of mine so all of the stuff on the body is shaved off i need to know if they're useless up there b4 i do it

When I bought my truck it had peep mirrors and all I could tell they where good for was scratching the paint where they where mounted. I took them off and installed the original mirrors.

Hey now!! Easy on the "Dorky" comments. I happen to like my Dorky camper mirrors. I can see a lot in them. I also think it makes it look more like a "Trucks Truck" if that makes any sense....In other words not so much like a "Show Queen".

I'm new and just made a hello post over in the appropriate forum. My picture of the truck turned out huge, so I'm not going to post the truck on this page, and mess up the format. Here's the link, and glad to be here.........

Nice 3/4t.Makes me miss my`71 CustomCamper.

And my '68 project. I've owned this truck since I was 10. My grandparents gave it to me so I would have something to tinker with. Needless to say it's been and obsession ever since. This year I'm starting it's restoration/customization.

1972 Chevy K-20.
Chevy Crate 350 HO
Stock (albeit rebuilt) 4 on the floor/NP205.
Dana 44 front, Eaton Corp 14 rear, stuffed with 4:10 gears
Superlift 6" lift with 35" Goodyear MTR

And, on a cool note, the rust is all original, along with the bumps and bruises that have been collected along the way. It's not a show truck, but one I built to take camping and hunting..... gets me to and from everywhere I need to get.

He is looking to sell this truck because he bought it cheap I mean cheap he will let me have it for $27,000 I saw all the original reciepts for this truck it cost over 75,000 to build.

I was in the process of building 1 myself when this came along so I decided to just do the 68 short step as original BBC A/C Auto.

So guy's give me some input should I go for it this thing is freakin scary fast
dynoed at 1100 horsepower 1970 LS6 crate motor bored .060 over all the best parts money can buy and built professionally 18k in the paint alone close to 20k in the motor and trans.

Sorry if the pics don't do it justice I was overwhelmed when I saw it so I didn't get to many pics just to hear the motor is like well you know!!

Here is mine. 70 long bed with a 350 combo. Going to eventually bag it with a 327 and 2004r trans. Not much after that just keeping it really simple and clean, and will be my daily driver.
