Extra work and a few dollars extra materials but a GREAT idea. You can tell pretty well from the primer how the job will come out but never see as much as when the clear goes on (or single stage). As seen by the results below this is a step that helps you take it from a "nice" paint job to a :metal: paint job! Show quality black paint there!!!

Re: 198Plus build

I've been looking for a 1972 Kawasaki G5 100 for a couple years and finally found one. It's in very nice condition and runs great. My Dad bought me one new in 1972 and paid for it with the silver change he had been saving, I can still remember the look on the salesman's face counting all the change. It was my first bike and I'm planing on doing a full restoration on it. I'm having it shipped and should have it within the next week.

Brings back some great memories............:D

That's kewl. Are you going to keep it stock, or turn it into a Cafe racer like the bikes my son builds?
Here's his web site. If anything this might give you some ideas.

Ship it to him. He does bike that goes out of USA also. Except he's not excepting any new projects, because he's going through Cancer treatments right now. Next week he'll have his second treatment, and will loose all his hair. When he's in remission, then they will do a bone marrow transplant with his own bone marrow. He will be in the hospital for 1 month, and not allowed any visitors. Then after that he'll be so weak, he has to be bed ridden for 4 to 6 months. Luckily he had some good employees to carry on. This his second bout with cancer. The first was 11 years ago. He thought he was free of that crap after 5 years. Surprise, he's the 1% that gets it back. We are all praying for him.
