Can't say that we know each other. I post up on Binder Planet & BinderBench some. Not so much anymore tho. I read the International thread on Pirate, but don't post. Their equipment is more hardcore than I care to get into. But great info! Use to be on OldIHC, but quit. Too many probs with site and not enough Scouts. But, I seem to remember an 'Ole sarge' on another site. Can't remember which one. That be you? Thanks for looking.

Sure is. I'm a regular attendee of RMIHR, poster on BP and rock crawler in general. Met a few folks from AZ in the past.

Not much to tell. Was frame off renovated some years ago with 350 SBC and TH700R4. Power steering with Ididit Tilt Steering Column. Need some work now after been used for a while. But I like to get my hands dirty on my cars. New front axle with 3" drop, C-notch the frame and flip the rear axle will be this winter.

OK so I'll through mine into the mix: '47 Chevy COE, plans are mid mount LSX/auto pick up style late model chassis (2000-2006 1/2 ton) heavy work will start after return to the states in late 2014 (working in China now). Anyway here ya go.

Well here's mine. Freshly imported from your side of the pond. I don't understand why it didn't sell. (I bough it from a dealer in Appling, Georgia.

I can't take any credit for how it looks, other than been the lucky owner

Shox Dr. - nice score. Perhaps, here, it was a bit too much coin for our taste ... Ya never know why one will go & others not. Also the owner may have not had it on any media that was local. Appling is a bit "country".

Also looks like a long bed - not as desirable here.

Either way - it looks great & hope you enjoy.

diggin on that jibbed crane 'cornbinder' in the background. Looks as if it's still a working truck. Is that another 'binder' behind the COE?
And, I don't suppose it would do any good to ask about the visor on the COE!
Used to be a TV show back in the 50's called 'Cannonball' IIRC. They drove a COE Chevvy or GMC.
Good looking truck you have there.

I thought that too, never reached reserve on ebay. last bid was 9.6k There were 68 pictures in the listing.

And you're correct a Longbed, and like in the states not as popular over here either.

Their loss my gain.

Well spreader sense you asked about the visor, no it is not out of the question, not sure if I want the visor at this point. If I do get rid of it it will be cheep and you will get the first option. Didn't spend to much time looking at the other trucks. I was on vacation visiting my son in southern Colorado when I bought the COE. $1000 and a U-haul trip later it was mine. Even have a clear title.

Yes-sir you gotta great deal on the COE. You probably saved yourself a whole lot of headaches taking only the cab etc.
AND, thanks for the pics of the other trucks. That's a late 50's Diamond T I think, an early 60's Emoryville (IHC) and mid 70's KW. Sure would like to visit that yard.
I'll keep a watch for a PM concerning the visor. Thanks-a-bunch!! If I can't find one I'm thinking about fabbing one out of an old hood I have(non GMC/Chevvy)

Thanks, I'm excited to be here. My plans is to have it road worthy in a year so my boy can drive it. I'm new to the 47-54 scene so I'm wanting to figure it all out. I do know the motor is a fresh rebuild 235 out of a 54. 12 volt and all new wiring. We're leaving the paint just like it is. Does anyone here know of any shows or up coming swap meets here in AZ east valley area?

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

chads51, welcome man, honestly this is the best site for AD trucks IMO. really creative guys on here and friendly. That truck reminds me exactly of a truck that got me hooked on these, the guy sold it, I was so bummed. So when ur down and out, you look for redemption, 4 years later, I got over 12 cars and trucks from the 50's. Mostly AD trucks. Your possibilities are endless, its great its a runner already. I'd leave the 235 and if anything throw a T5 behind it and a different rear end, just depends on what all your trying to get out of her. good luck

This is one that my FIL and BIL picked up last year while scrapping and cleaning up old farms. Paid scrap price to the guy for it. My wife and sister in law are using is as a photo prop for the time being. When they get tired of it, I will try to get it to my house. Its got awesome patina.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Glad you saved that one, I seriously can't believe what goes through peoples minds scrapping this stuff. I started something called the rescue network that is in it's infant stages, I have to get a proper website up. Basically will be like a craigslist for old stuff that is knocking on the shredders door. I'v personally saved quite a few, but I just have to pass on some because of time and money. I'd like to start an antique salvage yard at some point, I have the land, just need the permits I guess.

Thanks guys! I will make sure it doesn't get crushed. They've rescued a few other old trucks as well, but this is the best looking one.

My friend bought it in 92 from California and had it in a shed since then ... I grabbed it as soon as he said he wanted to sell it.... he never got around to do it cause he has 2 other projects... we put a battery and a gallon jug of gas not to contaminate the fuel system and she fired right up
