Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
I'll have to take a look and see if I can ship the trailing arm mounts in the same box as the rear disc brackets. I will let you know.

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
The trailing arm mounts will fit in the medium box along with the rear disc brackets. I will send you a PM with ordering and payment info.
The base plates with a different hole pattern does not change the cost of the rear disc brackets. Quote:

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
Has anyone found a set of brake lines and used them for this setup?

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
So neither of the suggested hoses on the parts list are working for you?

I’m interested. How does the stopping power compare to the drums?

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
Hopefully someone that has bought these and installed them will chime in......

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
You don't make a kit to fit the Dana 44 GMC truck rear ends, do you? Does this fit them???
|
Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
No I do not make a rear disc conversion for the 6 lug Dana 44. No, this bracket set is designed for the '64-'82 GM truck 12 bolt or '79-'87 GM truck 10 bolt. You are the second to ask about this in about a month, but before that I have not had a request for. If I were to develop a rear disc bracket set for the Dana 44, I would use the '79-'85 e-brake caliper. But now you have posted elsewhere discouraging people in regards to the '79-'85 e-brake calipers. I have not seen that they are hard to find, nor have I heard of anyone having a hard time finding them.

Are these brackets still in production?
Thank you... |

I fabricate all of my products everyday. This is one way I attempt to make a living. As long as the thread isn't closed, the parts are available.

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
Any word yet on how to hook up the ebrake with this setup? Just curious if someone has determined a way to use the stock ebrake cables.
|
Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
I don't think the stock e-brake cables for your drum brakes can be utilized. You will have to go with a custom set of cables.

I have a stock 6lug 72 12 bolt 4x4 and would like to get a set of brackets for my application with gloss black powder coat. Can you pm me with a total cost and payment info. (PayPal )
Thanks Gary |

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
I see you reference a GM metric caliper and showing photos of front calipers test fitted. What GM metric calipers are those if their not D52 calipers. Are they D154?
|
Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
Yes the '78+ Metric calipers are the D154 calipers.

Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
I'd like to order a set of brackets.

I am looking at converting to a 6x5.5 rear axle. Would it be as simple as swaping my axles and using the later chevy truck rotors as mention in this kit? Or do I need to change the spacing, calipers, and rotors? |
Re: 6 Lug Rear Disc with 15" Wheels and an E-Brake
Sorry but no it is not that simple. There is no such thing as a 6 lug rotor that has the exact same dimensions as the Astro/Safari rotor. Everything must be changed including the brackets. The only bracket that is the same are the base plates.
