the peice he circled is what needs to be cut off and threw away. look @ video number 3 @ 1:58 minutes. that is the peice that attaches the glass to the track on the regulator. also, when your @ the glass shop make sure to pickup a couple feet of window tape. it is used to put the glass into the peice your reffering too. |
Re: 55-57 one piece windows
o okay i get it now i was wondering where that went lol anyways would you happen to have any extra parts laying around for me to be able to complete my windows like the extra part that has to get welded where the wheels are. If you don't mind shipping it to me ill pay for it if you want.

Re: 55-57 one piece windows
One thing you might want to do is cover your glass with some shelf paper. It's low tack and peels off easy when your done. It will save you from any scraches.
|
Re: 55-57 one piece windows
where can you get that? I have started to rip everything out my door and noticed that the glass is actually two like glued together i founf that pretty interesting for the eng. of that time lol
|
Re: 55-57 one piece windows
Did you get my PM ?? I'm on board for this!!! Lemme know how to get all the goodies from you.

Re: 55-57 one piece windows
Grimss is going to up load the template in a PDF file so we don't have to mail it out because we have so many people wanting it. Plus for people in the future. This could go on for a long time, and could run in to problems down the road. he said he will get it done next week. If he can't, we will go back to the old way. Brian
If you want the chrome beads on the felts like grimss has, call up Fannin Auto Glass in Springfield, Mo @ 417-869-4096 the track that holds the glass in is Y630P-96. you will need two of these, in 8 foot sticks. the felt sweepers are YM54R-96 HALF-GUIDE. these come in 8 foot sticks i think, but one isnt enough. |

didnt check their prices, but im sure they will be better. the glass shop i used probably isnt set up for shipping this stuff. if you can go to a car show or swap meet you can pick the stuff up for 10-15 bucks a stick instead of 25-30. |
Re: 55-57 one piece windows
about how long did it take for anyone to get their glass done and to them. Because i been going around and everyone keeps telling me two weeks or a little less for the temp glass. Did anyone use laminated glass?
