Re: How about some pics of S10 S15 Luv Blazer II
cool! I didnt know there was an S10 section here too! I love S10's. Ive had 4 of them so far.
here is mt '86 Blazer that I put a built 350 / TH350 into. it had a narrowed 8.5" 10 bolt rear with a posi and 3.73's. This little truck boogied! I had put 17" Torque Thrust II's on it but that was after I had taken these pictuers. It was also the tahoe package so this thing was loaded with all the options like power everything and delux interior. I havent seen many more like that. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...scan0001-1.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...t/scan0002.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...t/scan0003.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...t/scan0004.jpg This is my current daily driver and I love this thing too! Its very comfortable to drive, rides really nice, has all the creature comforts and look badass to boot! Its got a Vortech 4.3L which runs like fricken top, actually has pretty decent power, and gets 20 mpg. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...seeders009.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...seeders010.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...seeders007.jpg |

with the 8.8 rear that is wider and added wider tires on z28 rims that have a bit more back space you got a feeling something is up... then you hear it :):burnout:

I bought this 2000 base model right after I started Tailgate magazine, The only option is has is A/C. KRZ box-notched the frame in '01 and it has 4/6 drop with Belltech spindles and springs with a big 'ol front sway bar. I had Venom nitros for a while, it dynoed at double the stock horsepower.
The truck only has 65,000 miles on it. After I quit Tailgate I parked it for 5-years. |
Re: How about some pics of S10 S15 Luv Blazer II
Oh, and it has a Sir Michaels hidden hitch... I gave the steel rollpan to a friend — The mirrors are Street Scene... Its just a good little truck.

I guess I never posted my '91 here. Over 200K on the original 4.3 and 5 speed with original clutch, still runs great. Was originally the uplevel model with all the chrome trim, but added the black grill, painted bumper, fog lights, flares, power mirrors, etc. Also installed the interior from a '92 Sonoma GT, along with the gauge cluster. Also the thicker front sway bar and added a rear. Just by looking at it, most people would think it's just a regular old rusty S-10  http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2646/...2d30a7d4_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2585/...6087372b_b.jpg Near future plans include a Z28 steering box, lower 3 inches and change the dash to gray (still has the original blue one). Long term includes drop in a TBI 350, and replace most every body panel and paint it charcoal (same as wheels). |

Sure why not. 145,000 miles and going strong. Stock motor, stock suspension only thing added is a Magnaflow and poly bushings for the front suspension.

Here is my 88 GMC jimmy.. "JIMBO". I got it when I was 17, I'm 25 now. this is what it looked like 8 years ago.. Looks about the same less the flame tint. And now its stock height with 2002 s10 wheels. It stays parked for years at a time, every now and then I decide to drag it out and get it running.

Here's my 98 daily driver http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...blazershop.jpg Bell Tech spindles, cut 1 coil, 3 inch blocks in the back and c'd the frame. Wheels are Boyd Junkyards 17x8 and 17x7 w/255/55/17 back and 215/50/17 front. I polished it up and put some pinstriping on it. I've been driving the crap out of it for the last 5 yrs. and it's been a great driver!

I remember when the S10 / S15's first rolled out of the factory. I bought an '85... it was my first "new vehicle" and I was 24.... (God I am old ).
1985 GMC S15, ordered it new from "Mose Wampler" GMC in Troy Ohio. Black bucket seats, 5-speed manual, analog gauges, V-6, posi rear end. Installed Cragars and 60's series Radial T/A's, made a roll bar and a hood protector. I bought the complete Ziebart rust proofing system and a Ziebart bed liner. Man, I tell ya, those guys learned to hate me. They lost their butt, I took it back every year and they had to pay for numerous rusty door panel and tailgate repairs. And the bed liner wore the paint off the bed rails, so they paid to have that redone also. But it was a great deal for me, years of maintenance free rust repair, which in Ohio, for a daily driven vehicle, was a big deal. They ended up doing a buy out in 1993 (???) and they installed a really nice high end sunroof for free (not shown in the photo). It was the first new vehicle I owned and it was a great truck! (the V-6 was totally gutless though). And I used it as a truck too. Hauled firewood every fall, dirt and gravel in the summer and my "under construction" Model A Hot Rod parts pretty much all year. When I sold it to a friend in the mid 1990's it had over 130,000 miles on it. I can still remember driving it home from the dealership... I was king of the world! You never forget your first truck you know! |
