Re: Ol Blue
nice ride. I just acquired a 70 ambulance that's about the same type of project. mostly undoing the last guy's "improvements"
noticed the second row 3/4 seat in one of the pics. let me know if you wanna swap for a full length one. |
Re: Ol Blue
nevermind on that seat-swap offer zellway, I just saw the rest of the post and your third row addition. Im looking to do the same.

Some leaking valve covers and a heater core started me on a roll of stuff. Sometimes I get in the "lets do as much as I can when it's down" mode.

Picked up a set of mirrors. I'm out of practices with my welding but my backing plates should work for what I need. Next step in the knock the holes in the doors.

Pulled the inner fenders to fix a small about of rust under the battery box and fill some of the holes drilled by the PO. Vary happy with how clean it is.

It's funny how clean you think it will be till you have it all out in the open. I could not help but clean up and repaint a bit.

Never installed a Vintage air kit. Popped in nice and the metal covers look great. I had to paint match them.

Some of the cleanup on the Vintage air install. Most of the engine install is done. Put about 300 miles on it at this point. Still some fine tuning to be done. I have to weld up about 10 holes that had been drilled into the inner fenders over the years and get them painted. Thinking I might get them coated with bed liner spray on the inside.

Still some work to be done to get the backing to lay flat. I'm happy with the black on black look.

Not much to report. Took a trip down to Tucson. Check fuel economy and it was only about 16 MPH. I was pushing it a bit. Picked up some parts and hung out with family. A otherwise "none productive" weekend.:waah: Pic was on the way back we stopped in at Picacho Peak. Looking at it this is my first pic I have posted with the new mirrors.

Re: Ol Blue
I like it! ...and I envy your 16mpg...
