Wnet yesterday and bought all new front steering parts. Got the idler arm, pitman, adjuster sleeves, tie rods. Got a set of hawk brake pads from ebay new for the front for $25 shipped. Also ordered a set of Powerslot rotors for the front and bought new Timken bearings as well.

I must confess, I'm alitttttttttttttLLLOOOTTT, envious of you. I'd pretty much like to do the same thing with my truck, not that I'd cut it up yet, it's only a '98 and it just dont seem that right, still too new. But I like the fact that you are building a drag truck essentially, but the great thing about your truck is it is going to be low slung, and HAVE F'N 20'S... No dinky 15's for you. That is just badass.

Stop you gonna make me blush!! J/K Anyhow thanks for the comments. Trust me I have to bust my A$$ to get the things I have. Its not easy sometimes to come up with extra cash for Hobbies.

Ivee been working on the rear end again. Got my brake brackets welded on and the disc brakes fiqured out. I have been cleaing it up tonight getting it ready for paint. I still have to get some bolts for the retaining plates. After that its ready for paint. Rear disc turned out great. Paid $25 each for the rotors $20 in machine work (lathe). $90 for the calipers which includes a $45 core and $36 for 2 brake brackets (weld on) Got the cermaic pads also $39 (less dust). Total for rear disc minus brake lines was $235. Not bad?? I will post some pics tommorrow. Hope to get the steering parts installed this weekend?? We will see!!

Yea. Mine was just in my right thumb, I was deburring those plates that the motors sit on on top of air compressors at work, the flap disc caught on something and my hand slid down the shaft of the grinder(no handle on it or guard) and ate about a 1/8x3/8" gap on the tip of my thumb and a little of my nail. Didnt much even hurt until I kept hittin it on sh!t, and so did my girlfriend... Hope your feeling alright and gettin back to work, this past week aint been too awful hot and you should be able to get back to work with it soon right?

Gettin down to the good stuff!! I have had a good weekend getting things done. Got the rearend under the truck and put the ladder bars in. I have tightened it all down yet. I have to do a little adjusting to get things 100%. Put the front sway bar in with all new poly bushings. Got the cam bolts on the upper arms set into position and tightened. Finally set some wheels on the front end and got it off the jack stands. Progress!!!!!!

Hey man, you know I love your truck, it makes me drool everytime I see it, but what's teh deal with the wheel tubs, I dont like to see a cut floor, but I believe I would rather see the square style than the big ol speedbump you got in your bed... Nice truck, Hopefully you'll have a toneau(sp?) Cover??
