[sarcasm] probably get A/C just in time for winter [/sarcasm]

If that's the case then go ahead and bag it now and then save for the A/C and have it in just in time for next summer.

Sorry Joe, I couldn't resist.:uhmk:

Just curious - what kind of highway mileage with the 350/700r4?

My gas guage is broken, I drove about a 70 mile trip once and figured about 10mpg. Refilled tank for gallons used.......2200rpm at 70mph!

Hey protrash64 , were did you get your kit for your Burban ? I think i might get the same kit

This is not a kit.....I bought some stuff new, had pieces donated, bartered some pieces, and fabricated a bunch of brackets. I think I wish I had just bought some lower springs and called it done.....this has taken too much time and too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Joe231.............Im cosidering finally putting up a garage door so I can a/c my work area. Its simply oppressive ....I love winter here in the valley.

Ok...Ive been cleaning up all the stuff I didnt want to do but ended up doing anyway! First, my truck would not start due to a fuel issue. I re-did the engine end(hoses, filter, pump) and there was no improvement. I finally dropped the tank to find a completely cobbled up sending unit. It was covered in silicon and solder. Replaced the sending unit after beating out the tank which looked like it had been thrown off a cliff. Pic shows it about ready to be installed.

The other issues were w/ the brakes. When I finished my bags I set the truck down and pinched the rear brake lines w/ my exhaust pipes. You can see the original clip under the pipe in one pic. I ran the new brake lines to the front of the axle and made a new mount for the 'T'. The other pic is looking directly up at the 'T' from on my back under the truck.

All of this work is to get the truck to sit on the frame, w/ a very short bumpstop. I have a 1 1/2" in there right now, this will make it as low as it can be w/out notching the frame. I will still have to take care of the tailpipes as they are in the way. If they had made the exhaust 1" farther back they would clear. Isnt that how it always goes?

I will SOON have it together and have pics of it sitting low.

FINALLY posting pics of my truck aired out. Came very close to the original photochop that Frizzle did and got this whole ball rolling. The bags are complete and I just need to do an alignment(). Driving around the block the tires were squealing pretty well.

For the question Ive seen asked more than any other, here is the answer. This is as low as you can go!!!!! My front tires are hitting the well wells and the rear axle is sitting against the frame w/ a short bumpstop.

Thanx for everybody asking about my truck and good luck with all your projects.

Great looking burb protrash.............Ya gotta love those burbans.............I lowered mine using lowering springs and spindles...........................4" front and 6" in the rear.......................Also changed to 6 lug to 5 lug......................The ride improved immensely.....................I'm thinking about bagging mine to get the same stance as yours.....................................Again good looking burb.........Hemmit

Thanx guys....its cool now that its done and I have improved a few skills along the way; I have a doctorate in head scratching!!!

Thanx Demmit; I agree about the ride. After I lowered the 'burb it rode very nicely. Now with the bags I dont notice much difference. I think alot of it has to do with the shocks and the weight of the wheel/tire combo.
