Driveshafts are at the driveline shop being lengthened.
Seats are at the upholsterer.
Core support is at the powder coater.
Hoping for a test dive this week!:devil:

Awesome, I bet you are excited! I love your setup. I have a 6.0 I'm waiting to install and I noticed my drive by wire pedal looks different than yours. Do you know exactly what make/model yours came from? Yours looks A LOT better.

It was so great to hear it fire up this weekend. Everything is looking awesome. Love how the dash turned out. Can't wait to go for a drive!

I used American Autowire's Classic Update Kit. Its a little expensive, but it has pre wired leads for all of the modern accessories like power windows, door locks, seats, seat heaters etc. The wiring diagrams have excellent explanations of where each wire goes which made it incredibly easy to install.

To my knowledge its out of a 2005 z71 pickup. It was arced the opposite way when i got it, as all are from. I made two cuts: one to flip the s- curve in the opposite direction and the second to get the pedal where i wanted it. this is the only pic i have right now, ill try to take a few more today.

Okay, that is a little high, but is it a plug and play harness? Did you send the engine harness and PCM to them tp modify and re-program too ?

Yes, it is as plug and play as it gets. comes with all of the stock connectors and everything needed to hook it up. I sent the ECM to WaitForME.

Mine is all plastic and strange looking. My company's work truck has the exact same one that I pictured, it's a 2007 Silverado 2500 CLASSIC (aka same body style as the 2006). I'm thinking they changed from your style to this all plastic crap at some point, maybe??? I seem to remember my Dad's 2005 1500 looking like yours. Either way, I think I am going to try to find one like you have, I'm betting the connector and wiring is identical.

I don't know if they work the same or not, I do remember Glock having a real problem with his DBW pedal

.... Im having problems too. Mine runs at idle but 0 throttle response. Its showing codes that its not getting a signal from the pedal. Ive now read that all the pedals work and are wired differently... Now i need an '06 pedal. Since the 2006 is plastic and unalterable, I have an idea for how to mount it. If i make a plate that mounts where the original pedal mounts and extend that plate over to the left say, 4 inches. That will provide a solid mount for the new pedal and have no interference from the brake pedal. There is alot more room under the dash than i previously thought.

Cant believe i spent all the time modifying this pedal and getting it to fit perfectly only to throw it out...:dohh:

Think you might be able to hit that plastic pedal with a heat gun and bend it to where you want it? That is if it's the correct pedal for your PCM and engine. I'm working on a 2005 5.3 into a 68 C20 myself. Did like you on the steel pedal when I put it in my S10 Blazer. Might have to redo now for the C20. Good looking Blazer and congrats on getting it running.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble, but I'm glad you found out for the rest of us. I'm thinking of a way I can mount a factory 72 pedal (the plastic part you foot touches) to this setup. Maybe cut the 06 petal off the plastic arm and graft the 72 onto it then epoxy the crap out of it but only on the backside where it isn't seen??? Still have to look at that odd shaped plastic arm. Also, it probably needs to be bent as well. I am nowhere near ready to mount mine so I will be waiting to see how you handle it. ;)

Just had a thought...could the wiring harness be easily altered to work with the pedal you modified? maybe it is just a couple wires that need to be swapped or something. You should call the guys that worked on your harness before you throw out that pedal you spent so much time on.

Get the wiring pin-outs for each year pedal and re-pin the pedal's wiring harness. You can also buy the harness connectors online if necessary. I didn't have the actuall pedal harness and ended up making my own by following the wiring diagrams and using some extra connectors I had.
