Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
i dont know im not sure, but they probably do move at least a little. this set has been cut for over a year, i just cut more off to go lower. the other set i had on their when i got it that i cut were cut for over a year as well. i have drove it on the freeway quite a bit with cut springs and was never nervous about it. i have only drove it around the block since its been this low in the back, so we will see how it rides, drives, and reacts to it being this low.

coming along nicely...you getting the bag stuff ready?
i been meaning to ask you...what did you do to cut your floor and stock tubs out? i been working on mine all week (scattered about) and i have been grinding the head of the bolts off and punching them through with a hammer and screwdriver...got a few more to go still. and i havent tried cutting the tubs out...what did you use to cut them out? |
Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
thanks, i try lol. no not yet, no money for that but soon hopefully lol. and i used a combination of things over time as i was removing the floor and wheel tubs. i used a grinder, a saws-all, an air cutter, and a couple of hand tools.

here's some Cali black and yellow plates im working on that i will be using one way or another lol. one was pretty horrible(the top half all bent up and stuff) when i got them, the other wasnt to bad. didnt take before and during pics but here they are in primer, they still need some more sanding to finish smoothing out and then i can start painting them the colors they are supposed to be. they are not going to be perfect but good enough for me lol

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
never finished them, damn satin black spray paint wrinkled up on them lol. so they have been sitting in a box in my room for a while. eventually i'll pull them back out and try redoing them again.

Really looking good i really like the control arms

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
haha thanks, yah they are beefy as hell to . done up by a buddy/lowrider guy built for hoping so they should never bend. the only thing i had him do that was a little to much is stretching them an 1" 3/8's. should have only went 1" instead as i have some positive camber at that front ride height lol. and thats with almost no shims.
