Just when you feel like you are making a little progress one of these "finished product" type of guys drops by to rub it in your face!! My freind Rick was out for a spin in his 69' and dropped by to check out the projects. His car is immaculate so I wanted to share.

I bought some 4 wheel drive front brake lines, which may be too long, but put them on the calipers anyway. I also purchased some 1980 Corvette shocks thinking they would work easily as a drop shock for our trucks, they do work, but you have to take the bushings out and swap them end to end. During this process I managed to stop a screwdriver with my palm......it felt great. I got the front shocks mounted, and they work great, but still have to do the back ones. I also cut down my rear shock mounts so I could flip them and use them on the opposite sides as shock relocators. That was not too difficult, just took about 40 minutes. What did all of you do this weekend????

Weekend progress was good, the weather cooperated! Removed the bed again and pulled all of the e-brake goodies off the frame and cleaned them and painted all the little parts. Pulled the shocks back off and decided to paint them a different color too. I dropped the rearend and decided to go ahead and paint over the POR15 on my frame to give it a cleaner look. After scuffing the entire frame and masking the airbags and hoses and grease fittings (well, my girlfreind did the masking) I pulled out the paint gun and shot the frame Gloss Black.

Nice work. I plan on painting my frame with spray bomb as well. I'm gonna use rustoleum hammered finish.

I got the frame back together and put the front shocks back on. This weekend was spent sanding, fenders, hood, doors, grill preparing them for the second coat of primer and epoxy primer. I'll put the pics up tomorrow. Here is one of the frame back together with the e-brake lines and front shocks back on. Also got the motor mount brackets on and the trans x-member bolted down.
