I'm out on 224th so guess you were still not too close. :) My truck is bone dry when the needle is just touching the "E"

I normally fill up when it gets to 1/8th tank. Mine was still at 1/2. Was watching it not move so I guessed it was empty. After it was full it moved to 3/4 tank. Drove to McKenna then back to Orting and home and it was still on 3/4 tank. Something is broke.

Sweet! I wish it was mine!!

I need to ask tho and to qualify i am not any kind of construction builder... Houses like mine (built in about 74) have a vent on both ends of the roof peaks to let air into the attic, I don't see that in your garage so just wondering if there is some type of vent to allow air to enter, then vent out the roof vents to let the summer heat escape?

The attic has vents in the soffit (some people call it bird blocks). Based on 1 square foot of venting for every 300 square feet of attic floor space. The heat in the attic rises out the roof vents drawing cool air into the attic from the soffit vents (convection). The gable vents you are referring to can actually disrupt the convection of air creating hot spots in the attic. That is what I read.

I will be itchy this weekend. Like it says "just need to finish the inside". Then drywall, tape, paint, cabinets, stereo, tv, fridge, and oh yeah Suburban.
I have enough power in the garage to run my welder and a 220v air compressor, stereo, and plug in my trailer to a 30 amp plug.

Cool deal. It's all that small stuff that seems to take the longest to get done. I really need to finish insulating the south bay in our shop before it gets too dang cold here. Good luck finishing yours up!

Yeah I had the roof done a month after the concrete was poured, just working on weekends and after work. It has been 2 1/2 months since then and the outside is done and I have power. I hope inside is done by early January. Too many holiday weekends now to get much done. I need to weld something soon.

Ok, like i mentioned i don't know squat about that kinda stuff, I have noted some newer houses also omitted that vent so i was wondering whats up, guess that makes sense as heat rises.

I still want your garage! :o)

When we built ours, we got one bay lined with ply wood, got lights in the other bay, insulated it, and moved in. I still need to finish up things here and there. There sure isn't enough time to get it all done!

Thats ok, this time last year I didn't even have plans for construction. When I stood up the trusses on Labor day weekend I didn't know how much venting I needed. I learned everything as I went. This is my first complete building. I hadn't even framed a complete wall. I have learned a lot this last year on building codes and permits and inspections and setbacks and surveys and electrical and and and and and.

I don't build for a living so this has made me a little crazy and my tools are hard to find.

The contrast between trucks looks good. Got the highs and lows of the chevy fleet. Painting the inside next weekend then I can move in all the cabinets and tools. Maybe I can work on the suburban this year.

That garage looks sweet! It even looks better with your trucks in there! Nice job. What size rock did you put in fron of it? 1"?

There really needs to be more garage build threads... That seriously looks like alot of fun! Lot of work but lot of fun. I have always wondered, how does a person get the trusses up there? Also, did you build the walls on the ground and then raise them up? What do you figure you have into it now cost wise?
