Rex,
Thanks! I'm definetly interested. I really didn't want to hack the frame to use the stock manifolds that came with the motor. I may have to check out the tbss forum.:ito:

Trailblazer SS, I am reluctant to admit how long it took me to figure it out on my own:lol::lol:

Here is a pic of the motor and tranny set.

Yes, that is a piece of nylon cord holding the tranny. I wanted to see how the tranny looked moved over a little and couldn't find not one of my straps. I guess this means I am impatient and cheap.

Here is what I get for bragging about how well the TBSS manifolds fit...
The "ears" on the 4l80e stick out farther that on other trannys. Looks like I will be able to cut the ears off and get everything to fit, I will keep everyone informed on how it works.

I had read that they fit very well in the stock location but I was still surprised by how well they fit.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0656.jpg

Since I had the heavy duty springs out back, the coils were very thick and the jeep springs were much smaller diameter. That lead to quite a bit of slack between the frame and spring as you can see here...

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0652.jpg

I am sure that most of the slack would have been taken out when tightened, but I did not see the need of it if I could tighten it some. So, I massaged the coil retainer with a great big hammer.

First I flattened the middle and then around the edges to make it more level

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0654.jpg

ended up with this

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0655.jpg

In these pic you can see how that the fit is much better

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0659.jpg

and final fit looked good as well

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...w/100_0663.jpg

As you can see I also took a pic of my high dollar fluid retainment system, if anyone is interested I could hook you up for a small fee:lol::lol:

I also have the lowering blocks on and I will try to post some pics of that later.

Hope you like it!

is it just me or is the rear end in upside down? .....isn't that the vent hose with the coke bottle on the end of it?

Hmm...maybe the frame is just on backwards.

Good eye! I appreciate the heads up, just in case though.

Actually, I stuck it in wrong when I first put it in and I have to pull the rear suspension back off to do some welding so I am gonna switch it back then.

Re: The Fuse is Lit...

I changed the large mid 80's blazer tank to an '99 jeep wrangler tank. I was able to put back all the original bracing and it will allow me to use a standard trac bar in the stock location. It is only a 15 gal tank but I think the headaches it solves is worth the trade off.
