I'm not sure on PST, but PSC is the place I bought my front end kit. They use the best parts available. All the urethane bushings are Energy Suspension, which are the best bushings made, bar none. I believe PST is a bushing maker only. Not sure. So you would need to buy the other parts seperately, as in tie rod ends,
ball joints, idler arm, etc. The kit PSC sells is complete. Every part you need to rebuild the front end. Only thing that don't come in the kit is the pitman arm, but I guess they consider this part of the steering box.

Of course this is my opinion only. :)

The P-S-T kit includes the following:

http://www.p-s-t.com/images/fekpgtv.gif

2 Upper Ball Joints
2 Lower Ball Joints
2 Outer Tie Rod Ends
4 POLYGRAPHITE¨ Upper Inner Control Arm Bushings*
2 or 4 POLYGRAPHITE¨ Lower Inner Bushings* (as required)
2 POLYGRAPHITE¨ Strut Rod Bushings (as required)
2 POLYGRAPHITE¨ Stabilizer Links**
2 POLYGRAPHITE¨ Sway Bar Bushings***
Control Arm Bumpers (most models)

Retail is $219
Luckily I just installed a pitman arm and have a idler arm to put in so I'm golden w/ the P-S-T kit. :D

bigblock73 02-20-2003 02:08 PM

Low87 02-20-2003 02:08 PM

No kidding, that's nice!

Low87 02-20-2003 02:09 PM

So you noticed a big improvement with it Jeff?

LOHRTBT 02-20-2003 02:12 PM

My bushings are all worn out...As soon as my other car is purchased and I dont have to drive the truck everyday...I will do a complete front end rebuild...along with the bags and maybe tubular a arms. :)

We can get all that done. I'll know how hard it is next month when I put on my PST kit. :D

Very much so, it gives you way more of a "postitve" feel as far as handling, a smaller steering wheel went on shortly after and helped out even more.

I stand corrected on what the PST kits have. Looks like everything the PSC kit has, except I don't see a idler arm in that photo.

Who makes the PST bushings? Their anti sway bar bushings look like Prothanes. If so, I'll pass. These don't compare to Energy Suspension's in size.

Truthfully I have no idea but I've talked to tons of people that have them and love them from our trucks to camaros to vettes. LowC10 has them and he's a member here. Hopefully he'll chime in. :D

LOHRTBT 02-20-2003 02:29 PM

eeEEEAAASSSYY Big Block!! hahaahahahaa

AirMale 02-20-2003 02:37 PM

I rebuilt with the entire front end with PSC when I did the spindles. It was, by far the most noticeable improvement to my truck to date! My truck didn't have a sway bar up front and after the kit was in, I really didn't need one. I later put in the factory sway bar cause they included the bushings with the original kit and it really didn't make a difference.

79BIG10 02-20-2003 02:39 PM

PSC comes with all 4 sway bar bushings as well. Looks like I'll go with them if I ever get enough $$$.

One has graphite impregnated into it for "lubrication" (supposedly doesn't sqeak) the other doesn't.

BTW, I am running the PST on mine and loved it. And no, it didn't squeak.

WORD! :D PST makes an awesome front-end rebuild kit. This company manufactures their own polygraphite bushings. PG does not have to be lubricated at all. The bushings have grease within the body of the bushing. In fact, they have a 20-year warrany. Someone had a Camaro with their kit---One of his upper ball joint boots started to tear and leak after a few years. He called PST up and they sent him four new complete ball joints for FREE.

LOHRTBT 02-20-2003 08:52 PM

Werdemup!!!

Must.....resist.......creditcard........temptations........DOH!!!

AirMale 02-20-2003 08:56 PM

Just broke the $9K mark on my Chase MC...... come join us in credit card hell.

brad2 02-20-2003 09:02 PM

Mine got a new PST rebuild a few months ago.

LOHRTBT 02-20-2003 09:16 PM

oh hhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeelllllllllllllll no!! haha
I learned my lesson on the credit cards just like you are..will...have....ahhhaaha.
I avoid them like the plague.. I only use them when I know I have the money on hand to cover it or for an emergency. :)

The companies that make money off them should be thrown in jail for the rates they charge.

Hell I should just open my own card company....charge 10% flat interest to everyone......would still make a killing!!!

c10scotty 02-20-2003 11:21 PM

i rebuilt my front suspension with a pst kit and it is awesome. i get a slight noise when its really cold in the winter. i would call it more of a creak than a squeak, but that doesnt bother me. i went into the project willing to accept a squeak or two. it made an awesome improvement in handling....well im sure the drop helped too as i did the two at the same time.
