9.00-16 are MUCH taller than a 255/85... that's just the closest metric size that happens to be available.

Here's my 9.00-16 Power Kings, they are between 35"-36" tall. I talked to someone at NTB last year, he said he could order them in.

The Burb in the last pic has 235/85's (with new tread) on it.

My God, your dually looks awesome. What size lift? I'm in the market for some tall skinnies but I want to stay with my narrow OEM wheel, which I believe might be only 6 inches wide. I wonder if those 9.00-16s would fit?

Here is exactly the look I want. I love the look of the old High Boys. I lifted my '73 4 inches and now I want the perfect tire...

Thanks. My wheels are stock and only 6 or 6.5 inches wide. The truck basically is a 3 inch lift. The rear blocks are 3 inches, and the fronts are 4 inch lift springs, but they have sagged a bit... it's a big block and the truck used to have a heavy winch and bumper hanging off the front.

Thanks so much for that info. I'm going to have to look into those tires. I was afraid the bigger tires would be too wide for my stock steel wheels, which I believe are also 6 or 6.5 inches wide.

I still have to paint them the same color as the truck (green) and maybe a small painted white cap...

Man oh man I do love those old school directional tires. Had a set on a plow truck and boy they do work well. I want a set just like that for my upcoming 54 project.

Here is my '92 K3500 with 255/85R-16 Cooper Discoverer S/Ts on 7" Accurides. The truck is gone, but I had these on my '72 K2500 till yesterday. Painting them metallic charcoal and putting on my '95 K2500 Suburban. The '72 is getting a 4" lift and for now 35/12.50R-16.5 BFG A/Ts on 9.75 aluminum slots. Those are my flotation set and my tall skinnies will be 35/10.50R-16s on 8" steel. I had a 6" lift with 37/12.50R-16.5 SSRs on 8.25 steel but sold them to stay a bit smaller
