The dash looks really good, looking forward to seeing it finished. Can't wait to get too the body on my truck. I think I am going to have some of the same issues with my bed. Keep after it.

Hey 76kcfdeng, Thanks It surely is fun to do some different things to these trucks and working on it alot is the trick to getting it finished. Yeah the bed is a bit of a pain but if one sticks to it then it will turn out good :)

Today I scored a set of Low Back Buckets for FREE so I am very happy. they need some work but how can I complain for FREE right? and I still am not sure if I will use these or my other seats I have orinally planned to use on this build. Also I am not to sure what these Low Backs are out of.

Here is some pictures I took after installing 3 of my air bags. I would have the last one installed but I screwed up one of the fittings that goes into the bag so I am holding off till I get more. Not a big deal just waiting time again. also going to wait to get the compressor and valves for the moment.

Well today is the day I finished with the most difficult part of my Shaved Rain Gutters. I have them finished and started to lay a light layer of bondo to get it as smooth as I would like.

Dude! Your truck is going to be sick! This is a great project, and it has really changed that truck into what it should be. Great work Jeff.

Hey Slick, Thanks. This was one huge job just doing the shaving of the rain gutters lol. I dont think I will ever attempt it again. but least the truck will be the way I want it now, so I can not complain to much.

Hey dnd Thanks,
well I would have to suggest a few things when you do yours. cut the drip rails/gutters around the doors flat to the side of the truck and do not rip the metal out that keeps the door gaps, like I did. I only had to replace it lol. also the corners of the roof seemed to be the harder area' because you have to modify them quit a bit and remove sheet metal and add again but it all depends on your preference too. I also started out removing to much and had to do nothing but add it back...after you get around the corners It is alot easier and less removing and adding. just a slit here and there and tapping with a hammer to get the nice curve you want. also there is a seam on each corner. I welded mine pretty well and added a few pieces there..when you dig into it you will see what im talking about. but mostly its all about starting from one end and working to the other.
and the Corners are definately the hardest part of it all.

Here are some pictures of what I did on the corners. that may help you.
most of it is using a grinder and cut off die grinder to get the shape i had in my head. and adding pieces of sheet metal back where it needed to be.

Here is the lip that hangs over I had to clean up under it and around it to weld up. I noticed a bit of surface rust I had to get rid of also.

everyones probably wondering why I left the windshield in and that is because I have not taken the time to take apart my steering column, I will Redo the Column Later due to the Parts where used any how but the windshield was trash any how so saved me from getting all that crap in the cab lol.

Jeff,

Thanks for pics. I have seen it done a little different around the corner. I here when you cut the drop rail around the corner the roof pops up?

Would this have helped? Cutting along the orange line this way the roof will lay down and the gap is easier to fill. Then weld the orange line up after you finish the corner. What u think?

Hey dnd. you are absolutely correct. I did have to cut along the orange line just like that to get it to be more a smooth corner after not known any different when doing it like the picture shows. but got to working with it and cut that area and it worked perfect.

Hey dnd, Yes its alot of work but totally worth the effort of a great look. took me working on it off and on for 3 weeks. but if i would have kept working on it straight time it would have taken maybe 2-4 days for the sheet metal work.
