I've had the 60 for about 3 years. I got it when I was 12 and wanted to restore it by when I got my drivers license. Should have it all done in the next month.

My father bought the 1966 SWB step side April 4, 1973 and he gave it to me five years ago after it sat for five years in a field without a motor. Was sitting in my garage till last October waiting for me to save enough money to fix it up.

My dad bought my 64 c10 in 66 and officially gave it to me in 1985. I sort of restored it in 86, but now I'm doing a frame off/LS swap and lowering it down.

1restrorick, I fixed your pictures. Sometimes if you post with a smartphone or tablet/ipad, the device does what the heck it wants not what it shows. Other than that, I dunno

I bought my 65 from my father-in-law in 1981. It was my daily driver for over 20 years. I took it off the road in 2009 to restore it but life keeps getting in the way so it is still not finished. I really miss driving it.

I'm having the same problem posting from an iPad or iPhone. I have to go into my photos and edit my photo, Flip& rotate it a few times till it looks correct when it appears real small next to the choose file tab.

My Dad bought my first one, 1961 C10, when I was about 16. I owned it up until it was involved in an accident and pretty much totaled. I salvaged the drive train, wheels and a few other parts. A year or so later, my brother found this '60 sitting across a soybean field. I bought it in 1995 and have held onto it.

45 years 1966 custom swb step 283 all stock bought when i was 19 now i am over 60.the only think not working good is am radio,looking for nos :lol:

Just picked mine up from a good friend of mine. It was originally a Southern Pacific Railroad truck back in 65. My friends family picked it up in 67, and has been a work truck every day of its life. My friends dad just retired on the 18th of December, and I picked it up the day after Christmas.

My Grandfather purchased the '65 in March 1967, 7 months before I was born. He was the second owner. He gave it to me for my 16th birthday. I picked it up from him over Thanksgiving 1983. Was my daily driver until 1990 when I did a complete frame off rebuild. Drove it for a few years after that and now it has been sitting since 1997...

On my birthday in April, we'll have owned our 1960 GMC for 24 years. It's certainly been through it's share of changes:
