Did you tint your rear windows before installing them or afterwards? I was thinking about tinting mine before installing them but wondered if the risk of scratching them was worth it. Seems like it would be easy to do before the gaskets are installed.

Tint your windows before install is the best way to go. I would have loved to get all new tinted glass cut for the burb but I have spent way too much as it is so I'm stuck with the old glass.

Thanks for all the compliments guys it's really appreciated!!! I still have alot of little things to take care of but I will save that stuff for this winter. I have owned a number of old vehicles over the years and I cant believe how this one goes over with people so far. everywhere I went this weekend people were all over it.

Looks great, Love the lsx with charger, and I am partial to the TTII's. We'll have to hook up at a car show next summer so I can check out that beast. I just picked up a new to me 72, because I have so many projects I decided to sell my rusty GMC 72. But I already have a built 5.3 with a ZO6 cam that I cannot decide wether to go supercharger or turbo, and am gonna drop it in over the winter. I was wondering what tranny you have in it, have you towed with that set up? As I have a 23 foot airstream I plan to go cross country in and want to keep the driveability, and have you taken it to the track? Any times?

He is mistaken, and thinks this is Hart Robs burb

Tho Chad is pondering an ls swap in the future.

Current 1/4 mile times are probably in the mid 17's lol

No problem gumby. I would love to have Hartrobs setup but I think Im going to cruise this thing for a while then maybe do a swap of some kind. The motor runs way to good in this thing to take it out at this point. Just a side note my burb started its life in Regina so I would love to take it to a car show down there sometime. I have the guys address that bought it new so a few pictures of it in front of its old home would be cool.

Well that calls for a reunion party!!! They probably sat on the lot together 39 years ago. Cool. Do you know what dealer it was sold from? I'm pretty sure mine came from Regina motor products.

Re: finally put some color on this thing.

I do not know, I do know it went to Soscratchmewon Forestry Service brand new but had been painted once before me so no dealer decals left.
A 2wd Blazer for a forestry job....hmm.

Re: finally put some color on this thing.

Well I'm gonna have to plan a chevy invasion car show next summer, As I have a few different years and models. And it would be pretty funny to see the rest of my club members faces if we got a convoy of 67-72 body styles to show up. We put up a nice little show at a lake and campground, with a cruise night, and poker run every third weekend in July. I plan on putting some miles on next year with the airstream behind do I'll have to stop in on both of you, lol.

Re: finally put some color on this thing.

I plan on going down to Regina sometime in the future as I have alot of family down there. You are more than welcome to stop in for a visit with you sub and airstream I've always had a love for the old airstream trailers they are awsome. post up a few pictures when you have a chance.

Re: finally put some color on this thing.

Tony I think the 4x4 option back in those days was a luxury and I'm sure the Saskatchewan gov just could not justify the extra cost vs a set of good old tire chains.

Re: finally put some color on this thing.

They air stream is a little rough, I plan to restore it while using it, starting in the spring as it is a little large to fit in my garage.

This was my suburban, but I opted to sell it for one with less work so I could spend more time fixing the airstream
