http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...1B16039032.jpgWent out and started my car yesterday and this was the temp. Freezing b@lls out here on the east coast....don't none how you handle it in Alaska McMurphy. I figure if guys can make progress in this cold weather than I needed to man up and get some work done,so I did....
Managed to get my step notches all welded up inside and out... sorry my welds arent as pretty as some of you out there but they are solid so ill just take pictures of the aftermath. ready to make my cuts and box em in and see how low this baby is gonna go :) then its time to mount my rear bag brackets and do some bracing for those and my notches. after grinding welds for an hour decided to work on something else....started cutting my lowers for the cups...what a difference on how much lower it will sit. With bag brackets and cup kit it looked almost 4x4 and wasn't feeling it this is more like it!

Well.... It has snowed on and off here this week, and now just in time for the weekend, it is supposed to drop to -50 by Sunday.
Heck, right now it is -30 out there as I write this.

One thing I have learned about this truck site, is that you cannot underestimate the level of influence these guys can have on you. I know there are many here that motivate me tremendously!!

Glad you got the gumption up and got some stuff done!
I know you are happy with that !! :metal:

Yeah I have been using one of those heavy cover all suits and dressing in layers and haven't even used my bullet heater yet lol. Once I get working I got hot and take layers off so it works out good I guess.

just read through your build, nice work and what a great truck to start with, is the signature pic what your paint will look like when completed if so it will be killer. as far as your welding skills go they look fine to me, heck thats why they make grinders:lol:

No real updates here. we had a blizzard and got over 2 ft of snow like 2 weeks ago ... I have 3 degenerated discs in my lower back......too much shoveling for me. have had to take it easy lately. But with all that snow been real busy at work so I have had to sneer little projects in at work on my breaks....http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...5C9D99DADE.jpg
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...5C4D2D118E.jpg
Painted up my track bar kit .
This will give you an idea of the color scheme I'm going with. Cobalt blue and charcoal grey 2tone.
