My dad purchased this truck in the early 70's and it's only one of 2697 GMC short box trucks including step sides (documented) built in Canada in 1959.
In addition to that, only in Canada in 1959 did GMC offer the bed side stainless (documented). I'd say it's very rare! I've never seen another '59 GMC Wideside Short box with the bedside stainless... ever in the past 43 years. He's passed it along to me now and is helping out a bunch with the rebuild to it's original Omaha Orange and Bombay Ivory two tone. |

I let an after market performance parts company use my truck for engineering. In return they made me a one off cold air intake system & a set of aluminum valve covers that color match the filter partitions.

Just saw this and had to add my 1979 Sport tailgate. No other one like it

Re: What Makes Your Truck Unique?
I don't see many with utility beds, especially in any color other than white. I think it was probably installed when new, which would explain why they went with the Camper Special package (although I'm not sure how different a C20 CS is than a C30 SRW). Of course, whoever installed it decided to weld it to the frame...
The seat I have is from a Suburban (I think), so it doesn't tilt. Don't think I've seen that in a pickup before, and it sure makes getting the motorcycle ramp in/out of there fun. http://lolinter.net/wr450/IMG_0319.JPG |

In NY, having a all GM sheetmetal crew K30 truck is unique!
Also a 73 k20 suburban |
