Thanks Ed, Scott and Dan!
I was thrashing to get it in and hooked up before vacation but it didn't happen. Sam will be finishing it up while I'm in Cabot San Lucas. I'll owe him a present.

I will be working hard when I return to get it on the road. A month or so start to finish isn't bad for a guy with a job. Lol

Good news is the motor is broke in and ready for the rest of the firewall accouterments to be added. I'll be working hard to get completed before the weekends over. Not sure I'll make it but it should be together. I'll never get it polished by then but the rear brakes might be completed and it should be on the road.

Well, that stack doesn't count mimosas at breakfast with the wife or the shots of tequila so all told you need to add another 7-9 cups to the stack.
I didn't count any other days but did I mention the bar closed at 8 pm? Lol
Oh well good times and now I'm back to trucks, dirty hands and late showers.
Thanks for following along!

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

Well it's been a week since I updated!
I've had a bit of trouble with my 07 Sierra. The wheel hub nearly fell off when I was delivering a chassis an hour away. It made it home but was more than concerned during the return drive. I had no idea those things were that expensive either.
On a better note... I ordered all the front end hardware for a disc brakes front end rebuild. I had one sitting out there, so I thought, why not add the disc brakes. If I'm rebuilding the brakes and front end I should do the upgrade.
I'll post a picture of the parts after the brown guy drops them off.
Thanks for following along.

Its drivable now, starts /runs enough to pull itself in and out of Sam's shop. I haven't hooked up the wiring harness yet or fit the fenders. Im doing the disc brake front end swap this coming week and Sam wants me to do the rockers wile the front end is off! UGH!
It makes sense and I have the rockers already but I'm not restoring this truck! I want to drive it!!! It needs it... I need to do it but I am itching to have something to drive. I hope it pays off when its done. I will be driving this thing by Valentines day if I have anything to say about it.

Well the one at the pool that's free for all inclusive! We had to do dinner and the one in the lobby closed at 1000.
We usually went up to our room hot tub after that!

Here's what I started with! Yuck! I'm gonna need to do some more wire wheeling I guess.

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

I had to stop there for today. Heres a brief explanation.
Was planing on a good weekend but O'rileys ordered me the incorrect wheel cylinders then followed that up with the incorrect hardware to hold the 3/4 Ton brakes on (didn't find that out till later of course). I wasted 2 hrs figuring it out and driving back and forth. Plus each trip the parts were not in the store so I had to wait for the transfer from across town.
I hope this is corrected tomorrow.

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

It's good to hear that O'Reileys are the same no matter where you are:lol: I thought it was just the ones around here.
