Started on the wiring for the truck. I decide to start from scratch and build a custom fuse block as their will be minimal circuits on the truck and it will be a lot cheaper than a painless or similar kit. I love the look of the panels this company does so I'm going to do something similar. http://www.ceautoelectricsupply.com/...laypanels.html

Started with the ignition switch panel. Because who doesn't love hitting several toggles to start their truck?

Beautiful project here. Seriously!........but am I the only one not fooled here?? 17 my a**..................... You don't acquire skills like this at that age. Either you are BS'ing us on your age or you're getting a lot of help from someone else......

Fuel pumps should never be wired to their own toggle switch for power (you never want to require a mechanical input from the driver to cut power to a fuel pump). Fuel pumps should be routed through your ECM, through a fuel pump safety switch or similar. The only time toggles come into play is if you are running a redundant (A/B) fuel system and require ability to switch over in case of blockage or a failed pump without stopping - such as in race conditions. You may already have something planned but food for thought.

Interesting, The reason I was going to use switches to control the fuel pumps is I'm planning on using a holley pump which has two internal pumps that can be wired separately. One can be used for cruising around and both can be switched on when at the track. Just did some research and holley makes a low oil pressure fuel cut-off. This way if a roll over occurs and oil pressure drops power will be killed to the pumps.

Remember "12V switched power" is just 'activated' power to trip your relay... doesn't necessarily mean a toggle. Last thing you want is a fuel pump chugging along after you smack into something and are unable to get to the toggle switch - that would be no bueno!

True, I looked on holleys website and the HP ecu will control the primary pump as well as an output that will activate the second pump on boost so I will wire it that way. Thanks for pointing that out!

Now you got the idea... many engine management systems will use a negative relay trigger for their pump(s).

Nice build by the way... keep keepin' on.

Well I actually turned 18 a could months ago  not trying to BS anyone. I learned to weld when when I was about ten and have been around tools and building things my whole life. I found a passion of mine and when you work at something nearly everyday you get good at it regardless of age!

I'm still learning things everyday, some people get it some never do! i'll be switching to a turbo ls, maybe twin turbo not sure just yet this next summer and i'll have a few question for you then, keep at it! Thanks everyone! Been thinking about building some long tube headers that work on drop member/lowered c10's. Think there would be any interest in those?

The relay and fuse panel is mostly wired. My OCD was in full effect while doing this

Enjoying your amazing build. On your 4-link: Did you use equal length upper and lower arms? Are they exactly parallel or do you have some torque equalization built in?

The 4-link bars are equal length and can be set at three different angles, one of them being parallel.
