Got a little paint sprayed today..working in a small garage sucks...and what sucks even more is dust and dirt falling in fresh paint..oh well

oh also ordered the division bar inserts...guess when I got the kit from Chevy Duty 12 years ago...they shorted me the linings

Got the hinges worked on yesterday...they were all sloppy..a few hours and a few minutes of frustration finding the parts..I came up with these from Dorman part #38374, its a kit assortment and has 2 of the ones for the 62 ..so I bought as many as I could they only had 2 at one parts house and one at another...then found them at Pep Boys availible seperate but for the same price as the assortment, at 6$ per set its not bad and LMC wanted 9.99 plus their shipping would have been more

I cleaned them up and re used the pin and put a good coat of anti sieze on the pins when I installed them, all hinges like new for under 30$

looking good.i know what you have went through doing this cab sheet metal work i restored a 66 truck back in 1994 and most of the repair panels were not available then and had to be made from scratch including the inner rocker panels.looks like you have done a fine job.

That must have been fun, I had to make my own share of patches, I made both inner rockers and the RH floor patch, as well as the corners of the knee knocker cab below the windshield, also made several patches for the hood, Its been a long road..I hope it lasts another 49 years after all this !

Good to see you back :)....it's been almost a year.

Do you have a part number for those headers? How far down do they hang underneath?

Yeah went back to work full time and the hiurs are long on top of a long commute, but I had a few days off and got back to the 62 !

The headers are summit long tubes for a 67 camaro , they were 239 $ as I recall, they dont hang too low and for a stock truck like mine plenty of clearance, I can get the part # if you want in a few

Been a while but still working on the 62, been going slow but..the vintage air ac is in and the upper intake is powder costed as well as all accy brackets and pulleys, I get a deal thru work so its better than me cleaning and using a rattle can, cleaning up the engine bay as I go till I blow the body apart and the front clip comes off for paint

The trans x member I made, its 1x3 rectangle and I sleeved for all the bolt holes, my fuel tank is stock behind the seat tank with a return line added for the efi

The exhaust does sound good. I didn't see any mufflers. Are you running any?

It seems I have seen an exhaust X like that before. What is it from?

Its an x pipe from a 2010 Cadillac ctsv, and there are 3 chamber flowmasters under there, sounds good for a stock engine !
