Im about out of parts to strip paint from .. i'm thinking your right. it might go a little faster putting it back to gether ..:lol::metal: one pice at a time ..

Nice progress on the truck parts. What did you blast them with? I got to do my ash tray and glove box door also. Keep up the good work.

i use my blast cabnet with fine glass bead it a little slower with fine but it dose a real good job .. im hoping for some good warm weather here next coupe weekends to get it primered .. ill be out in the shop working on the truck sunday and watchin the daytona from time to time .. watch the start
and watch the last 10 lapes rest of the time on the truck .:lol::metal:

well its be a couple of days since i done or posed on the build..
i was able to get the stuff back from the powder coater today..
only because ive sent home for being sick .. weater got me all screwed up.
70's one day 40's the next . Ive got an slite respitory infection . sounds like having popping and weezing sound so no playing on the truck .told to stay in by the doc . but heres some pics of the stuff thats coated :metal:

Spent a little time getting stuff ready for priming.. knocked out the old pitman are ready to get building the rest of the front end.
Moved the bed out of the way so i can shot and paint this week . still have to get a rolll of plastic cover stuff .. will see .:chevy:

I'm done with my 66 for now.
I can drive it, but I'm holding off on the cosmetics for now.

powder coated parts are looking real good to me. I got a lot of small parts I need to get cleaned up in my blast cabinet also. Keep up the good work!!

spent a little time in the shop today getting things ready of sraying pit up some vinal for painting and shot the dash vent ducking :metalthe color on the vent ducking for the dash is gun metal gray metalic thats going to be the inside the cab humdity was to high in the shop to shoot maybe in acouple of days hopfully :metal::uhmk::chevy:

Did some get ready cleaned out the seams for seamsealer after i prime and paint might just prime sand and seal them prime again not sure yet . any way found a little problem with a roacker dont think g m ment to do this
See pics this is on the driver side . passanger side looks fine the truck was still in the orgain paint dosnt look like a hit in panel :confused:

Its been awhile since i posted so here a little update:lol::metal:
i worked on the truck tonitre un till 1 .am stared @ 2 but had to stop and start agian . i bught a 4spd colunm and striped it dou and started to rebuild it drilled the mount for the power steering snd fixing the speaker bracket for the radio for the truck . dang sounds like im trying to put it back together :lol:

Here it what i did to the the speaker mount
i added two 100 watt speakers in the stock mount
i didnt like the plastic mounting plate
so i cut out the old speaker
will see how it sounds :metal:

Good idea with the speakers,be sure to let us know how they sound. Don't have much room to put speakers and don't wanna put them in the doors even though the holes were put there before I got it

just a little update bought a few more things for the truck bougth power stearing bracket for the truck an bought a rear step bumper for the truck still need the center bumper brackets . but did get the power stearing pump put together .. need some cooler weather 104 in the shade not helping in the shop low 90's in the shop ... only in texas ... there saying 100 plus all next week . :waah: but here a couple of pics ill get more rolling

Just did a full read. Got me all charged up to go out and tear back into mine. Even put in for two weeks vacation so I can focus on my truck. Wish me luck on it getting approved.

did a little fall back work on the passanger side door i had to star all over
the door was oil caning i didnt pull the enough so i reworked it ..
and at the dottom of the door the in an outward crease abour an inch from the bottom is this normal i have it on both sides un les the po was really good at putting them in from running thru the barbwire fence i have the same kinda work on the other door too .from being a farm truck :dohh:

spent a little time on pulling the dent out of the driver door
i wish there was an easy way to get an hammer and dolly on this
im afraid i got a couple of high spots to adress and dont want to pop the dent back in :waah::chevy: the fun of door repair :lol:
