Nice truck, boat. I just went back and read your whole build thread so far. You've got some awsome welding skills. I am doing almost the identical patch panel replacements on my cab rockers and rear corners as you just did. I had never welded until a year ago so I watched a couple of your videos for some guidance. I still experience some burn through once in a while and I was wondering what settings you use on thin sheet metal. I've got an Eastwood mig135 and I am curious if I'm using the correct settings or in the ballpark at least.

Haven't been welding long myself I use the Lincoln pro 135, I think the controls are different on our welders but I set my wire speed at #5 and heat at B. when i welding on these new patch panels ,if that tells you anything

Re: 63 rebuild

I just watched your videos, man how I wish I had seen them before I did all my cutting and welding !!
But then, I jumped in and it was a long while before I learned about taking a "5 minute YouTube class"

I got through mine Ok I guess, but your stuff is very helpful.

Can you explain the importance of subcribing though? It caught my attention when you did the opening to your first cab corner video.

Thanks !!

Thanks Steve. Yeah, they are different but it gives me an idea. You're doing a fantastic job for not being at it long.

Thanks for the direction Woogeroo, I will certainly make the time to look at those vids now that I have his page saved to my faves folder.

As far as any of my vidoes go, they are better suited for Saturday mornings between cartoons...
None the less, I have them all hyper linked on page 1 of my build if anyone wants to scope them out.
