Well I haven't got much done here lately. I finally got my transmission built a few weeks ago. Called Dave over at Yank and got my converter ordered. Hopefully it'll be here by the end of this week and I will post up some pics of it and the transmission before the install. This last weekend we got the back glass put in and some little stuff like door handles and such.. here's a few pics..

great looking build. I love the blue with the rims, they set eachother off. Just something i have learned from my build, Get your rear suspension set up before getting it finished. Seriously, that power and stock springs/ shocks will not work. even if your just thinking about it in the future, get coil overs on there now. they will ride just fine and you can hook at the track when needed. Usually can find some for $150-300 each and do not take much work to put on. I wish i would have done it earlier in the build.

I hear ya man. I've been looking at a universal qa1 coil over setup for the rear. It'll definitely get done before I finish it. For me it's just a matter of money. One side job at a time lol!

Well this thing is coming slowly, but surely. I finally got my converter about a week ago and I also bought a SFI flywheel from yank. I got everything bolted in a couple nights ago. Been playing around with the exhaust. I hung some 3 inch straight pipes and some elbows just to see how it would look. We had the stuff laying around so its cost effective lol! Well here's a few pics of the stuff..:metal:

Finally found me a short bed! It's in pretty good shape. Dad and me are going to pick it up within the next few hours. I'll post up some pics when I get it home.

Managed to get the bed picked up today and back to the shop. We started by taking the floor out of it, which consisted of a torch and a hammer lol! and after that back the truck underneath it and doing a little mach up. It's been 9 years since i've seen any kind of bed on this truck, its hard to get use to again lol. Only thing im having trouble with taking in is the gap between the cab and bed. the holes all line up fine its just been so long to remember what it use to look like. If anyone would post up a pic for me that would be great thanks!

Thanks man. For some reason I just had to have them. It was a little extra work drilling the rotors and the axles, but it was worth it!

i had to shave the hub to fit the wheel on the front too

Haven't updated in awhile. Its getting closer and closer, but the closer it gets the more money i shell out. anyways.. got some pics of some progress. I went with the autometer gauges and the dolphin billet panel. I got the flaming river column from Frank. Got the rear end built last weekend. Went with Richmond 4.10 and a Detroit TrueTrac Locker. Installed it all with the richmond installation kit. Got the cross member plates made for the trailing arms to get the pinion angle correct.

I would have waited on the seats until after you put the roll cage in. With the cage installed you could have made tubular mounts instead.

[Got the cross member plates made for the trailing arms to get the pinion angle correct]
Question here, couldn`t you have used angle shims at the U bolts to correct the pinion angle? lowering the arm mounting point will move your "Instant Center".

LSPWRD67CHEVY 10-08-2012 10:57 PM

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build

Well we went that route, not only correcting the pinion angle, but also lowering the truck. It's just the way I decided to do it.

Been awhile since i've updated. Not much has changed up until the last few months. Finally got most of the interior put together. recovered factory door panels. Got the bed sprayed and put on. I'm going to skin the floor with aluminum and have some aluminum tubs shaped like factory just wider for tires of course. Here's some pics of progress and a mile stone might i add!
