Good looking C30! If memory serves, you had some engine issues. You must have gotten them sorted out.
Looking good! |

Here's my C20 bringing home my newly acquired Coats tire changer and balancer. About 1100 lbs of equipment.
Getting them off the truck by myself the next day was a whole other story... |

Went camping with the wife, the old girl did well. The teardrop is awesome, I don't have to mess with a tent!

He does anything on command! Plus he's always in the way in pics so I just make him stay in the shot.

How come I have the sneakin suspicion that he rode in the trailer, layin on your bed, droolin' on yer pillow...? A side note...: I had a black lab that seemed to have the same goofy traits as your Chocolate Lab.... Always in the middle of everything..etc....and so on... But, among other things.....when he had to take a dump, he would find anything from a shrub to a stump to a rock pile...and he would "hang" his pile on it. It was remarkably funny....you could tell just what he was up to.....he would approach the shrub....or even a fence....and kinda start to lift his tail and hump his back....and lay his ears back a bit....and rotate at least once, and then kinda slide up to and over....and let it go... The funniest thing.....you would be walkin through the well manicured , nicely maintained yard.....maybe escorting Great Aunt Phyllis by the arm....and there it is.....just hangin' there on the recently trimmed hedge....a "Jake Turd". Me, always over-analizing things...trying to figure things out....well I came up with the theory that....Jake, being the athlete that he was...Frisbee Champ....fetchin fool and all...He just didn't want to run into a pile while he was concentrating on catching a ball or somethin. I guess. BTW...I never ever stepped in a pile of his....ever. (Thanks Jake...RIP) |

This is my "train" of trucks I pulled from Arkansas a couple of years ago. The rear truck has a tow bar that's attached to the trailer. I pulled this rig 650 miles & it was a little nerve racking. The towed truck would start weave back & forth if I went over 55mph. The truck doing the pulling has a cummins in it.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!
Bought them both on ebay. Parted both of them (kept the good stuff for myself!). Had to pick the states that allowed a "trailer hooked to a trailer". Had a state trooper pass me slowly in KY- but no problems. Didn't try backing it up!!

We bought some round bales lately that are much heavier than our usual, about 1300 to 1500 pounds. My poor tractor could lift them, but not steer with that much weight. I put them on the back of the truck and tried to balance them just right so I could just drop them off with a stab of the pedal. Glad again for the no-spin I put in this fall. The pastures are very muddy this time of year, at least when they aren't frozen.

Your builds make me embarrassed for even trying (Yes, I know thats not the idea or point) Your finishes are stunning. I am looking at getting a 60-66 Chevy truck to tow my teardrop with...... Thread here. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...17#post5956617 My 1963 Ford Taunus Transit FK1250 towning it yesterday. I imported the van as a former Village Fire engine from Germany in 2007. It has a modern fuel injected 16 valve Ford 1800cc Zetec engine and can haul ass if needed. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps521c7fe4.jpg Your teardrop just blew me away. |

Here is the full build thread for my Teardrop. I am a bit of a serial "fiddler" I like to make stuff, and like the teardrop, I do best when making it up as I go along. CLICKY LINKY http://retrorides.proboards.com/inde...y&thread=67389 The sides were meant to be Ally clad as well, like the rest of the camper, but by the 7th coat of varnish we realized the wood had to stay, and I am really pleased we did, it forms a neat contrast. The Portholes are wooden wall clock face surrounds, bought for £1 or $1.50 each at a new cheap store opening, I bought four of them, and sandwiched the walls and also the "glass" which is policarbonate cut from discarded caravan windows I tried to add a quirky feel to it, as it is a quirky thing in itself. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...x/P1100599.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps54662dce.jpg |
Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!
Thought I would just add this in as it links to my post above about the teardrops.
NO MORE GRIZZ MOBILE...... After getting some advice on removing the Graffitti which this bus was known by, as it may put some buyers off, I have used some thinners, a couple of rags and done 4 passes on it all, soak, scrub, scrub, wash and then wiped again with a good old T-shirt. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psf1694e44.jpg GOING....... http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps8be6e52f.jpg GOING....... http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps8aaeaee3.jpg GONE !!!! http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps22905eb1.jpg Next up some polish and a bit of rubbing should see it almost disappear. |
