That is a cool '54 or '55-1st truck. It's pretty local to you,I know. Our deceased friend East Street Low Life knew the builder. In fact,IIRC his name is Wayne and joined up here. Either way, tanks for sharing.

Here are a few pictures of the 1932 Chevrolet Roadster PickUp that I have had for a few too many years. It sets in storage awaiting it time in the spotlight.

Re: Thread #2: Early Hauler Pictures...
That 40 Chevy above looks very nice and would love to have it but after all the time and money spent they stayed with the single res. master cylinder and I would think it has to have drum front brakes. Why do people not think brakes are important?

I was on my way to Carlisle trucks. My last stop is always here at Mountain View Liquors for beer. I was planning to get Bud Light and lo and behold, here was this GMC beckoning me:

Here is a pic of my truck from almost 5 years ago in its original state. I am building it up as a rat rod/hot rod with a 350 sbc, Mustang II front end with Camaro disc brakes, and a 57 Chevy rear.

Re: Thread #2: Early Hauler Pictures...
Yeah my dad bought it in Carlisle back in 1990 I believe for $1500. He bought it and when he got it home, he agreed to sell it to a friend for $1800, but we were just about to go on vacation so he held off until after that. But he got to thinking, and decided to keep the truck. I think he only drove it like 3 or 4 times, and the last time it was driven was in a parade for Desert Storm. It got pushed into a body off of an old box truck where it was stored until we pulled it out in July of 07. I will have to see if I can find some pictures of it from when he first got it.

Nice. I have my eye on a '38 and I hope he doesn't decide any time soon to sell, cuz I'd have to watch it go.
I don't think I showed this truck yet: |
