i know the fords use j arms, this truck will be set up for fun ,that j arm stuff is for big fun:lol: kevin at grunions has i real cool true long travel truck, and he is going to set up the rest of the suspension for me

Re: something different 66 long travel truck

the plans on the rear are to trim the rest of the bed and then kevin will fab up new suports to hold the bed, add limit straps, and some more suport to the hoops, kevins has been thinking we should make it a big window( plastic back window) and run the roll cage though the back and will link to the front though the cowel

Re: something different 66 long travel truck

Your gonna need a V8. A six with those tires even with a 4.11 rear end is gonna be straining. Nice ideas on the suspension though. It will be totally unique for sure.

Those little sixes moved around some BIG trucks back in the day, of course there were alot more gears involved, and they didn't do it very fast.

Dinos63 07-06-2008 04:48 PM

Re: something different 66 long travel truck
