Re: Project: Shiro
I'm thinking about putting lower trim on this truck to break up the plethora of white. With the addition of a Porterbuilt suspension and late model drivetrain adding the trim won’t be a big deal. The kit from Mar-K with black accent looks pretty nice. What do you all think?

Re: Project: Shiro
Do it.
I think it would look great. Lower trim only. |
Re: Project: Shiro
I agree, the lower trim only. Hives it a nice clean finish.

I think it will look great with the black lower trim

Re: Project: Shiro
I think that is a fantastic idea! Not sure exactly about the kit from Mar-K but I love the lower trim on these trucks. Maybe try to find some nice OEM trim. Any idea on wheels yet (don't think I've missed that)?
This is going to be one nice truck! Love the father/son aspect. |

[QUOTE=Bucks68;6443166]We started out thinking Mag Gs, but we may go to the Vintec...
Love the Mag Gs but the Vintecs are just classic! Excellent choice either way. :metal: |

This truck is running the same variation of the kits you will be installing on "Shiro".
(We had not yet adjusted the front coil overs in these pics, and it needed to come up about a 1/2" from what is pictured). |
Re: Project: Shiro
I think the black lower trim would look good!

Re: Project: Shiro
I agree with lolife99. Lower trim only in black will look really nice and definitely break up all the white.
Mag G's IMO. :) |

Re: Project: Shiro
I've got the lower trim in black on my Medium Blue 71... I like it. I think it would look good on a white truck. And Vintecs would be my ideal wheel, I love the look they give these trucks. Sounds like your boy has good taste. We all know you have good taste... We've seen your work. Looking forward to this one!

Re: Project: Shiro
I agree with the others! Lower trim in black!

Re: Project: Shiro

Re: Project: Shiro
Happy new year to you too man.
Hey,.. just saying if you'd like to see the truck on either wheel and trim added I can Photoshop for you. Just to see different combinations. |
Re: Project: Shiro
Truck is a heck of a truck to start with and when you are done with it it is going to be ridiculous... :metal:
|
Re: Project: Shiro
Vintecs are always a great choice, just ask your son if he feels like polishing wheels that much though

Trim & bagged. I can do Vintecs too if you like

Re: Project: Shiro
That's cool! No need to do vintecs, we are going to stay with original plan. Thanks Chad!!

Re: Project: Shiro
Not a fan of the 24's on that truck, just to much IMHO. It is a beautiful truck though.

Re: Project: Shiro
OK, that... is BAD ASS. Sorry for the hijack, please continue...

Personally I'd rather have a 10" wide wheel in the back. |
