Re: 61 Ford unibody project
Every time I check back in you're killin this build. The center caps, the seat and steering wheel combo, all of it is looking so good. It'll be finished in no time.

Re: 61 Ford unibody project
Is this truck already done? And every couple days you post some pictures making us think you're just blazing through this build?
|
Re: 61 Ford unibody project
The pics I just posted are from sat and Sunday. Some times I will work on it after work for a few hours.
I wish it was built already so I could enjoy it my goal was to have it done by the end of sept but don't think it's going to happen I told my self 2 years should be enough time but it keeps evolving and more gets added to the list.2 years should be the middle of October. Jake |
Re: 61 Ford unibody project
Mine is the same way. We thought it would be a quick 6 month, slap it together build, but we're already at almost a year and a half. Now it's evolved into a full build. You're definitely a lot quicker and closer than we are though.

Re: 61 Ford unibody project
Man you are really knocking that thing out, looks great.
I've been reading a lot about plasti dip and I'm considering doing mine in that. I was just going to reprime it because its looking a little crappy lol, and I wont be painting it for quite some time anyway. Saw the plasti dip, its fairly inexpensive way to get a decent looking protective coating that should last until we decide to paint it (if ever lol). |

I have a friend that bought a truck that had plasti dip on it took 4 of us all day trying to get that stuff off so he could do some body work and ended up priming it white.i would suggest priming it a color because if you prime it you don't need to be a painter it's easy even with a gun and its just primer you can always sand it off.Good luck with what ever you do. Got it all hung welded (all but the balance tube)I might do away with the front clamps and just weld it there also.3"all the way with Flowmaster 10s.used 4 hangers 2 in front 2 in the back.i had a local muffler shop make the bends then I cut it all to length recut and changed some of the angles of the bends ect till I liked it.It was kinda fun lol.

Awesome build. The unibodies are my favorite Fords. What brand is that steering wheel? I've been looking for a white three spoke wheel.
