Here's my newest ride.

93 Chevy C3500. Dually, 454 TBI, hideaway gooseneck, 5th wheel plate, billet grill, 4 wheel drive, 210,000 miles on the odometer.

Got plans for bedrails, tailgate cap, K&N filter, and that's about it. It's my work truck so I can't afford to have it off the road long.

Bought this one a couple of weeks ago to go along with my 95 ecsb. Its a 96 Yukon with 80k miles, lowered 4/6 I was told (not sure its that much)17" Boyds, multiple amps and speakers , etc etc. Its going to be my tow rig as soon as I get the frame notched. The bumpstop is barely off the rearend now. It might be lowered 4/6 but after driving the 95 with bags it seems like a 4wd lol

dmoss69 Nice ride. Got a question. Do you know if there is some special code for your ground affects package on your truck. Been trying to locate a scource to purchase these ground affects for my Stepside. Again, Nice truck

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks

Djack89,

I'm not sure what kind of numbers that you're looking for, but this is a package that MARK 3 put on my truck back in 1993. I don't know if they still carry this style of ground effects, I've never had to order a piece yet, I'm still on the first set.

I've seen alot of ground effects packages, and I must say, that I do really like these the most.

Update, I have about 6 more things to finish before we feel some boost!

I have seen this exact body kit on quite a few trucks around home. Figured it was a factory kit. I live in upstate New York and a lot of the trucks that I see the kits on are driven all year long. That should tell you something about how the bodies look. can't seem to get any of them to part with the kits though, even though they are propably the only thing holding the trucks together. Thanks for the reply

dmoss69, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, been layed up. The reason I asked about the ground effects is there are a few trucks running around here that have factory ground effects that look the same as yours. They all tell me that they were on the trucks when they bought them new but can't tell me if it was a special package that was purchased seprately. They are almost identical to yours and I was hoping to find out if these were something that could be bought through GM. Thanks for your reply, Djack89.

This is Sally we've been together since 1993 she has looked better but then again so have I. The wife recently suggested that she wouldn't mind her sitting out in front of the house if she looked better and that why don't I just get her fixed up. She's a good wife. So now with my budget constraints removed Sally will once again be the beautiful truck she once was. These are her before pictures, I hope to be posting updated progress pictures soon. At least as soon as the job allows.

burn out in my drive way.
I've owned this truck since it was new (1st owner) but when the motor went @ 187,000 I was goin to scrap it but the wife has some strong feeling for this truck since we dated in this rig. So the deal was I get to do what ever I want with it. So the truck has been slowly comin around. The interior is totally done in Mossy Oak Camo, seats, headliner, doorpanels, new carpet kit.

My wife calls this truck the "Bad Step Child"
My daily driver is a 2000 GMC Z71 Exenda Cab (all stock)

My 97 1/2 ton shortbed crewcab was a loaded Silverado with gray leather interior. The crewcab conversion was done by Centurion Conversion of White Pigeon, Michigan. It was painted by my buddy Rodney at Total Kaos. It was lowered 3/4 with spindles and springs up front, and shackle and hanger kit in the rear.....

whats involved in the crew conversion? someday i wanna do that to my truck.. when its time for a total revamp..

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks

well, might as well throw some pictures up of my beast. She's my daily driver, much nicer truck in person than these pictures show, shoulda cleaned her up for these pics. Yes, I do consider that dirty for this truck, she's a DD and for me to drive wherever I need to (mud, gravel roads, hauling stuff like motors, wherever) but I do try and keep her washed up and shining, she gets washed at least once a week.

1997 K1500 Vortec 350, Ext. Cab Short Box Z71 (for some reason, seems like she sits higher than other Z71s, but that's okay with me!) no air dam, chrome rockers and chrome body line strips, chrome wheel well trim, decals on side, window visors, bench (woot!) aftermarket CD player, diamond plate toolbox, spray in bedliner, splash guards, aftermarket tailights/headlights, pushbar/offroad lights, dual pipes with 30" glasspacks 18"x3" tips (deep, mean sound that doesn't sound like it's drowning like a lot of 2.5" pipes w/ 18" packs sound like). Originally a Canadian truck, original owners used it to pull a 5th-wheel camper ( ) still has holes in the box for 5th wheel plate and hookup, second owner brought it here and had guages switched, third owner my brother, fourth owner is me. 127k miles as of now, still lots of power to turn that posi rear end, for a 5800lb truck.
