Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Like the gauges, got away from the norm. What fills the large square hole in the dash?

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Oh, okay I figured. Like most fabricators, make it difficult for yourself to put the oblong thing through the square hole. Just a tip for you, trying installing gauge panel from the front!:hm:

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Kyle what else do you have planned for the body and paint of your Blazer when you get it out of the shop?

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
I don't think he's going to have time to work on your 62 . That 71 blazer is going to take up alot of his time . Why don't you work on your blazer so you can get it ready for Ca.

Man that SUCKS!!!!
I'm on my 3rd defective evaporater on my daily driver. :m6: It's starting to get hot quick here in Arkansas too. |
Re: Low 72 progress pics...
looks like test-fit placement of the original "mock-up" hood hinges...... hehehe.
That sucks though, there's always gotta be more bumps in the long road to that light at the end of the tunnel. |
Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Is that the S&P a/c stuff?
|
Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Wild I have never seen one do that. There is no trace of oil leaking out of there either. Seems odd what ever made it do that. Usually you would have a wet spot where all of the PAG oil leaked out.

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Thank goodness, it didn't look cheap to me at all. Make sure there is no blockage in the expansion valve before you all recharge the system again. Maybe there was some shavings from the manufacturer in the lines that caused a blockage and increased pressure in that area? Just a thought, or weak spot in the aluminum.

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
awesome job on the blazer I guess I should check out the blazer section more often

Re: Low 72 progress pics...
Where did the compressor mounts come from?

On the A/C condensor... we've never seen one blow like this either. We also run an automotive repair shop... that's how Porterbuilt got started. We specialize in A/C (I think every shop in Phoenix claims to :) ) and this is a first. I charged it up yesterday and the pressures looked normal, and it was cooling great. Fired it up for Kyle today, blowing ice cold, it ran for maybe 3 minutes and BOOM! I figured it was a hose... not a hole the size of a golfball in the expensive, polished condensor.:( Typically when the head pressure spikes to the point of something rupturing it's a hose or evaporator. When the new condensor gets in, the entire system will be inspected... again! |
