those seats are buddy buckets and come from 67-68 trucks. They usually run $400 used (hard that is) and around $1,000+ restored.

Here's a few more pics....More to come...scored the NOS grill off a local member:metal:....Also started to install the wood bed today....Got the 4 short boards in and all but the one short cross sill...I'm using the MAR-K kit with the hidden fasteners, so I can't go any further until the bed is back on the chassis...which is gonna happen on Wednesday along with the cab....The she's coming back to the homestead!

Well....I mounted the cab & bed yesterday at the painters shop and brought her home today.....Looks like the tires are gonna be a little too small...aargh!...Gonna probably bump up to some 33x10.5x15 All Terrains.....hopefully my stock wheels will be able handle them as I'm pretty close to the tie rod already with the 9.5" wides.

Spent today getting the bed & cab aligned, shimmed and squared and started installing the bed wood.....The hidden fastener kit from Mar-K is SWEET....Check out the tailgate, the painter did just an awesome job on the white letters!

Making a little headway….....also learned that Muratic Acid is simply awesome for cleaning parts & hardware:metal:...Oh yea, I did get a new set of tires for it (no pic yet)...I just bumped it up a size to 31x10.5x15....I also opted for the All Terrains instead of the Muds....It looks a ton better!....

Waiting on a couple small tailgate parts….but she’s about ready to get installed
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/Sn...0/100_0337.JPG

Cleaned, painted, lubed and installed the parking brake assembly
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/Sn...0/100_0345.JPG

Cleaned, painted & installed drivers side air vent….I don’t think I need the passenger side as I will be installing a Vintage Air system

Also scored some NOS taillight & headlight bezels

Actually the paint bill itself wasn't too bad.....$4,625.00....and I still need to pay them later to wet sand & buff ($400)....Now, the bodywork total was almost $6,500.00 and that included media blasting....so, yea I'm into the paint & body for over $11K.....damn, I hate adding stuff up!....Like virtually all projects this one has gotten way out of control.....But I'm in this deep so I'm gonna get her done!

The bed strips are the aluminum type....I really liked the "T" bolt style fastener that it has....For aluminum they are very stout as I guess they are a quality extrusion!...I can't say enough about the Mar-k product....thier stuff looks awesome and fits perfect!

Thanks Conroe!

Been making a little headway….A lot of cleaning, repairing and repainting of tons of parts and hardware…..Also, went through the Instrument Panel and Steering Column….I wanted so bad to buy a tilt column but I had to draw the line somewhere with the budget and with a couple spendy purchases coming up (Wiring harness & Vintage Air) the tilt column got cut!

Did some repairs on the inner fenders….and learned that JB weld is probably the best “filler” that can handle the oven heat when getting powder-coated
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0370.JPG

Inner Fenders getting ready to get bolted up
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0422.JPG

Tailgate now hung….A little disappointed to still see a very slight bow on the lower portion of the inside of the gate:(…..Outside looks fine!
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0378.JPG

Instrument Panel all cleaned up with a new lens & bezel….
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0394.JPG

New Power Booster from CPP and rebuilt steering column in and complete...and my first "Oops"...scratch there on the firewall :(
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0425.JPG

Removed the core support and actually replaced it as I found some damage after I got it powder-coated and is was bugging the crap out of me…So another board member actually traded me for a perfect one….so I was only out the cost of powder-coating again…..Also, a look at the “All Terrains” I picked up...in lieu of the “Muds”….
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_2wzS50GoNjQ/So...0/100_0381.JPG

A look inside the cab of what I got done so far (steering wheel is obviously temporary)....I also got the fuel tank installed....Interesting note, when I was cleaning out the tank I found about a 30" long piece of rubber hose down in it....Sounds like a siphoning job gone bad!...LOL

Thanks guys....That Blue has always been one of my favorites....Not sure I've seen any other trucks painted that exact color (I'm sure they are out there though).....But a lot of 69 Camaros were painted that color!

what size tires did you go with?

are you going to coat the insides of the front fenders? you'll see that area won't you?

I just bumped it up one size to the 31x10.5x15....I think that is about the max for the 6" wide rim.....Later I may still go to the Ralley's....those 32x11.5 like you scored are a nice size for stock height!

Its actually painted in there...just not clear-coated....that pic with the flash makes it look like primer...buts its coated the same blue!

On another note....Inline Tube scored another big fat ZERO from me.....This time it was the fuel line that goes thru the cab from the tank....Completely, 100% bent wrong (almost mirrored).....not even close!.....Screw it, I just cleaned up the old one with steel wool and re-installed it....I'm done dealing with those clowns!

Thanks my man...I appreciate it!....Though I'm trying my best and I'm really satisfied with everything to this point, the pics may give it a bit more justice than what it really is (like pics usually do!) or maybe Its because I know every little flaw..LOL....

But I have gained a new appreciation for some of the 'Concourse" restorations I see out there.....Some guys must have a million man hours in some of those builds!
