Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
I ordered my headlights tonight finally..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280702782434...84.m1497.l2649 got one off road light in with a blown bulb, they refunded the entire price, gonna buy a bulb for it and order another light with the refund money so I'll have 3 of them on the rollbar then. My miror order was cancelled and refunded due to being out of stock or so they say, when it still says in stock on the website, so now I have to reorder it. |
Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
hood scoops came in today, still waiting on the bank to process the refund on the mirror and light so I can order them again from amazon directly and not seller's on amazon.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
ordered my mirror and other light tonight, hopefully they get here this time and doesn't get cancelled.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the other mirror I just ordered and light both came in today, should have bought them lights, only a dollar more, came with terminal ends made on them and a cover. Mirror is great quality and parts, new nuts, new very thick rubber gasket and all. got another round or two of ordering parts then it's body lift and mudders time. |
Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
ordered more stuff tonight, more christmas presents to myself.
![]() gonna put that on my new bullbar, always loved heartbeat stuff, had one a long time ago wanted another. ![]() ordered 2 sets of them, one for my new headlights and one for the wife's monte carlo, we had some cheapos off ebay, didn't last 3 months and weren't blue. I want blue look no doubt about it blue LOL. If these fail next up is HID's period. ![]() my other light, I cancelled the order on the $15 one that has no cover and ordered this one, in stock, terminals wired and a cover for a dollar more. ![]() got that for a cover for my third rollbar light, gonna paint them all black and put on some bowtie decals or something along those lines. ![]() got four of those to go in my euro parklights I already have to get rid of the broken egg look i got going on. ![]() bought 2 pairs of them going to do the 4 corner mod, in other words make the top markers light up. Next up I'm going to order off ebay and get some clear corners with an amber reflector, small one. Also door and tailgate handle covers in of course chrome, don't hate I like it. Saw em on another truck with as much chrome as mine and liked it too. |
Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
just ordered my 194 bulb socket pigtails on rockauto to make the upper corners light up, I like that mod gonna do it on my 88.
|

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
just scored a FREE set of bfg's size 285/75-16's, supposed to be equal to 33 12.50's They measure in no air no rim at 31.5 inches tall and around 9.5-10 wide on the tread itself. They got over half tread left or right at half, enough to last me for a while, plus I'll know how close I am to running 35's.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
265/75's are like a 31 10.50 but 285 75's and 305/70's are like 33 12.50's the same tire a bfg 285/75-16 on summits website the specs are it's a 33 inch tall and 11.xx wide
I just threw a tape on em to check and that's what I got. here's some better pics..... weather cleared up so I cleaned them all up and then threw on some tire black. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...4/100_4045.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...4/100_4044.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...4/100_4046.jpg |
Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
the 305 specs, they are 305/70's
Tire Diameter 33.00 in. Section Width 12.20 in. Tread Width 12.00 in. link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-33393/ the 265/75's are.. Tire Diameter 31.80 in. Section Width 10.50 in. link.. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-71887/ and my 285/75's are.. Tire Diameter 33.00 in. Section Width 11.30 in. link.. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-49291/ why they made 2 tires almost exactly the same size but labeled them as different numbers I have no idea. the 305/70's and 285/75's are pretty much the exact same, just a 305 is wider. |
Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget
got my idler arm, all 4 tie rods, adjusting sleeves, and both lower ball joints in today, should get the uppers and my shift knob tomorrow.
Also my blue h3's 100watts finally came in yesterday, and I decided to put them in the pushbar lights. |
