Does the windshield need to be laid back?

No, it will disrupt the lines.

More progress. The steering is done, doors are done, transitions to the a-pillars and quarter panels are done, and the dash is done. Almost there...

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

I should explain the dash just in case people are wondering. The sheet metal part of the dash is actually a bit shorter in height that the factory dash. I did this because the center console will be fabricated out of wood/ fiberglass and will wrap up to the underside of the dash and flare out to the A pillars. So the completed dash will actually hang lower than the factory dash did by an inch or two.

It's funny how, as in any project, being "done" means it's ready for 200 hrs of body, prep and paint. The metal work looks good, can't wait to see this thing shiny!

Project is looking fantastic. I went through your build over on another site (the dropmember company, i don't remember). I really like the steering on this thing. That L-Series looks great in there too. I agree with Phat Tony, i can't wait to see it all shined up

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

Thanks guys! Yeah, I look at it as stages. This stage is near completion. I am still going to have to blow everything apart for chrome and powder coat. The body shop and I are going to work together on that... kinda. We came up with a plan. He is going to get all the panel gaps good, do the rust repair, and get it all body worked. Then once he is really close to painting it he is going to pull the chassis from the cab and I will come get it and fully disassemble it for powder coat and chrome. The hopes are to have the full chassis and motor, plumed and wired, powder coated and chromed by the time the cab is painted. That way we can use his lift to set the body down on the frame. Then it will just need finish wiring and interior. Sounds easy enough, right LOL.

The logo in in backwards purposely. It will be seen from the inside of the truck when the plate is on it.

I also pulled the motor out in order to finish shaving the firewall.

Cool. I am building a F150 for myself and we are doing tech articles through the entire build. I wasn't sure if that had hit yet.
