Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
Very nice trucks, glad to see some running around that don't have the 20's and 22's on them.

Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
SWB85, I really like the look of your 4/4 drop and may have to get 2" spindles to go along with my 2" springs!
Does anyone make a 2" spindle??? |
Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
Not sure....I used 2.5" spindles and cut the factory springs

4,5/6 drop with BellTech spindles, springs, flip kit and shocks.
15x10 American Eagle 589 rims with 295/50 and 255/60. Had to grind back the lip on the lower control arm for clearence. Rides like a gocart and is real fun! |

85/Silver,
It is PPG 50775 Cordovan Maroon. Moneyeater, I love your truck, might have to copy your tire size! |
Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
I will be joining this thread soon. I plan to loose my current 17's for a set of 15" Ansen Sprints with BFG T/A.

Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
85super,
What don't you like about your 17" rims? I was thinking of going to 17s but not sure. If I don't, I thought about the same style rim you want to go to. |
Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
Huston Ben, there is nothing wrong with my 17's. they where in the truck when I bought it. They are Helo Max 6 and look to 4x4ish for me. I am going with the 15's for the classic look. Not to mention a set of 4 rims and tires together cost less than one Schott rim that was my other option.

I have Beltech dropped hangers and WC shackles on the shelf, but can't decide which set or combo to use for a 2"-3" drop. If I do the hangers I'll need to drop the tank. Using the shackles requires notching a bed support member, which I hate to do. |
Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
I ordered them from the Western Chassis website. Install was easy. I went with these so I didn't have to cut the support for the shackles or go through the trouble of grinding rivets and relocating the hangers. You could purchase the 3" drop leaf springs and remove a leaf to drop it to 4 inches if you don't like the stance. It didn't quite get me to 4" of drop but I'm pleased with the results. I'll put a link below
