You're truck is absolutely amazing. It is a STRIKING resemblance to my heart and soul, Nasty.

What did you end up doing with your old bed? More info on the front frame deal? Air bag setup?

Sorry i have so many questions... Seeing this truck gets me all gitty.

BTW...

It'll fit :)

Hey buddy! I live in Atlanta, but once it's all done, I will drive everywhere LOL.

Old bed was sold within couple of days of removal. The front Z allows me to lay flat. Love it. I have 2600 bags from firestone, custom 4-link, and 3/8 lines with a 5 gallon tank. I have FBSS. Lays frame and can drive about .5" off the ground.

Thanks for sharing! Hope we can link up when it's running. Check my pics on pages 2-4. Great stuff IMO :metal:

Totally excited about today!

Will be test-fitting the motor and transmission into the frame. Removing the cab so that we can function a bit easier....then we will ease the cab onto the frame and have the magic. I did get some goodies from Summit yesterday, so, I am definitely looking forward to this next phase of the project.

I got an external fuel pump, good for 120 PSi and 200LPH, a matching Fuel Pressure Regulator, and the the feeder for the tank (that will be shipped to me). I took pics of them, but I will include that in the update later today

Did not get to work on the truck today, unfortunately.... :waah:

But I did order a few more goodies :metal:

Dirty Dingo Motor Mounts

External Fuel Pump & Fuel Pressure Regulator

Sending Unit

Fuel Cell Filler Neck
http://static.summitracing.com/globa...SUM-290199.jpg

I think with everything here, I should be able to fire her up within the next two weeks. Hopefully the driveshaft will fit as is...if not, we will get it modified or cut a new one and button her all up. So much to do, so little time.

I also ordered the fuel tank shave and the A/C firewall shave components.

Just search my "name", or Rustspot Made Bail. If you narrow your rear and cut the bedsides, you will be good to go.
I now defer to Leon's originally scheduled coolness of build...

I am. Right now I am only working on this on the weekends. Time is limited. Plus it's not at my house. Trust it will get done.

In addition, still mocking up the fuel cell, have to make adjustments to the front frame. Don't want to paint it just to cut it again.

I am gonna make sure I do all my homework and buy the best of everything before I even touch my truck. good luck with the motor swap...Cant wait to see the finished product...i will hopefully get around to my motor swap in a year or so...Im gonna make my truck lay frame on 22's first then move on to the motor.

Thanks for your help Jim! Your were right his thread was very helpful once i finally found it. Looks like he used an s10 rear end to fit the 22's. I may go that route just to make the build less complicated. Hopefully once I get my new truck home from Cali I will be official #teamstepside I will def make the trip up to Georgia to meet up one of these days.

Still making frame mods for fuel cell. But yes...there will be some prettiness going on.

Yesterday I got an upgraded Mallory Fuel Pump, billet fuel filter, Hurst Shifter for the Camaro... I love summit.

I think that puts my fuel system over $1100 so far, not counting fuel lines and -an fittings.
