LMAO....Dude your too much....
Well I am going to good guy's in seattle and maybe even spokane this year...I need to turn more miles and drive the fleet more often....But it would be killer to put some kind of truck meet together this year and have a bunch of us go to one

Hmmmmm
FWIW I am hoping to be hauling my 66 Stepside with the 64 Tow Truck down through that area during the Seattle and/or Spokane Goodguys shows. Now wouldnt that be a hoot? Just leave the two married up and pull into a car show??
Then get to meet and hang out with all you guys !?!?!?! :mm:

More to follow as our timeline clarifies itself... :metal:

Rad test fit.....I just wanted to see how it was going to look...the rubber hoses aren't right I just used those for a test fit.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck

Thanks...

The guy did a great job he nailed it with excatly what I wanted...I tend to run those tubes on the top for my builds I love the look of them. My 58 was the first on that I ran a top and a bottom in stainless and I think I will for this one as well. Once i have done the break in and turned some miles I plan on running the shrink tube rad hose for a cleaner no clamp look. I just want to make sure everything is good first.

I have used these radiators a bunch of times and dig them.....I like the shroud and electric fans espically when your going to be jamming a AC setup upfront of everything....You need to keep the temps down or you run into AC temp issues....Thats just my 2 cents for what it's worth...which would be about 2 cents...lol

I saw your tube and now I got questions. That doesn't sound right. hmmmmm Hand raised high like in grade school,
1. On the stainless tube, what is the thickness? And what is the diameter?
also, on the ends, is that a larger slice of tubing slipped over or what is it? I get what it is, like the bump for the hose to slip over just don't know how you made it.
Toss a totally rad stainless tube out there with no measurement gottz me buggin'

lol...only you bomp dude only you....
I didn't make it but had it made and I matched the thickness to the top upper pipe...off the top of my head I think it was 1 1/2 tubing and elbows. I will have to measure it later....and yea we decided to cut a tiny ring of pipe and tig it back onto the pipe and grind it to shape....it's a piece of fricken art dude the guy nailed it out of the park as far as i am concerned.

So in keeping with the green theme I had to hack things up and make them green....The pictures don't do it justice it's way cooler in person....And yes we had to cheat to test it all out...but there is a ton of wire in that thing.

Ya I made a jig....so I can have them repoped and plan on making a bunch of'em...But right now I have to find a differnt guy to tig'em and I haven't made the bottom one just yet. Once I make them both and am happy with them both and have the jigs I am all over it.

Thanks man...

It's been alot of work in a short period of time but it's going together now. The A/c is always a pain in the butt and I have to shorten up some of the tubes as they enter the engine bay...and thats kind of where i am right now.

wutnxt 03-30-2014 02:59 PM

Re: 66 SBFS street truck

Man it's been raining here for days so no rolling outside for pictures......sorry guy's i tried. But good news is..

Had the rear tubs reworked and they fit better now....had them touched up..bolted them down and drilled out all the edge holes and have the bolts dropped through.....

-Have the fenders painted.....
-Rad hold down bracket is painted......
-Ac system is started and i have to do some reasearch.....on how i am going -to change it ....Is anyone a vintage ac expert ?
-Took apart the seat and cleaned up the frame and have started repairs
-Working on the fuel door for the bed....made more changes to it because I didn't like it the way it was
-Installed back window
- Power windows are installed into the doors but not painted yet
-Vent windows are being swapped for new glass

So Like the rest of you I name every thing i build....and with no exception to the rule this truck has a name and i realized I have spit that out yet. So if you give me a few days to finish up some cool little things I will show you what we call it in the shop. So I been busting it on this and the 49 and as usual nothing goes easy when you want it too. I am calling in some re-enforcements to help me get caught up and see if I can make the car show. I know you all want so new pictures so over the next few days I will post some of the progress, maybe even later tonight .

bomp a picture...just for you buddy...

This is a 49 chevy delivery I am building....it's not finished and has a long way to go but the guy I am building it for has been awesome he is a great guy who has really let me do my thing to it. I call it the Rum Runner and it's kind of done as if it was redone in the late 50's or early 60's....The intake is ceramic coated the exhausted is coated as well....all the fins are powder coated black. Twin carbs and dual exhaust I just really dig the way it looks right now....
