Now he's even got a few choice expletives from the UK...
Hope this has an upbeat ending for ya Wes... Never use WU...scammers live there. |
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
This may not help but....I'd make a call to the county district attorney where the seller lives and ask if they can offer any assistance.
Just an FYI to folks: I'm told that any fraud committed with use of a USPS money order can invoke some assistance from Fed police - may be helpful to pay with these when you don't have an established relationship with a seller. |

WES and Truck Brothers and Sisters,
Caviat: I'm (clearly) no expert on these things....All info I have comes from "being" snookered. ;) Specific to this case: There is a lot of lying (fraud) on the floor, here. This scum continually lied about when he was going contact you, WES. I take it that he lied about his delivery of the goods. He PROBABLY lied about a bunch of things...Maybe about whether he had ever even *had* this Blazer for sale. Maybe his father died recently. Maybe his mother has bad health. To me, it's clear that he accepted the money under false pretenses....But I'm not the D.A. I don't know his rules, his work load, or his pressure in that area. I'd like to be wrong about this, but it's ABSOLUTELY CLEAR TO ME that there will be no money on Friday. And, if history in this deal shows us *anything*, its shown us that this creep's willing to string WES along as long as he can.....Because he CAN string WES along. It is also clear that, except for retaliation by us, WES feels like he is between a rock and a hard place. We don't know how much money was involved....To me that matters little. Because, for me, it's about some ass**le taking advantage of a Brother Truck Forum Member (BTFM). But for WES, unless he wants to press it with the local authorities...which will take gathering additional evidence of fraud (shouldn't have to, in my opinion, but that's just me), it will probably take a trip up there. For justice to prevail...or even get moving in the correct direction.... WES will have to be willing to commit some additional scheduling of his own time. And it might take attaching himself to a local atty that's hooked up in the area in order to try to bring some light about this smelly deal to the D.A.'s desk. And it will take WES, armed with a flowing copy of all posts in this thread to get a time-line, and add to that some firm-edged tenacity. On the other hand, WES may just want to call it a day. His call. <RANT ON> And, if you do call it a day, WES, you just have to consider this happening just one more example of how justice really does not work for the *real person* in our current state of law enforcement... and administration of punishment...which seems to pander more and more to garbage-eaters like this pri*k. <RANT OFF> I know this for sure: If WES wants us to blow the fuc**r's phone up, I'm in line to do some more. And, I bet a lot of us would be. If he wants to hang back, and let Mr. Dimwit Scum pull the strings for the next few weeks, months, or years, so be it...It's WES's business. One more thing I know for sure: Considering that you are both a business man and seem to be a really great guy, WES, you don't need any of us to tell you more about not to sending money to people you don't know without some tangible method of recourse. We're behind you, obviously. So let us know the tact you want to take. |
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
We will see what happens. I don't like having to wait on the money, but if he pays I will be good with it. The total he owes me is $376.00 witch includes the fees charged by western union. He says he will pay by noon tomorrow, well even though I have my doubts I will give him the chance to come through....

We wont tell him that it's the board influance.. |
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
I am all about justice. Like in my previouse post I am out $376.00. I will hold back one more day, actualy untill noon tomorrow. If I do not have my satisfaction by then, it will be time to blow up his phone. I will be done with it, I won't care what happens to the guy or his phone. I will probably continue to harrass him, but I will not hold back what I say or text. The law will not do anything for me, with budget cuts and layoffs, even if they were inclined to help me I would be so far back on the priority list that I wouldn't be able to see daylight.
But I will tell you, You guys make me proud to be a member of this site and honored that you have my back.. I know for a fact, I wouldn't want to be on the other side of this situation. :metal:  WES |
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Oh Wes we've got your back alright I was ready to call again now but you gave him until tomorrow so I will honor your decession. After that it is purley GAME ON !!!!!

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
You've been holding back Wes? you don't want to know what I've called him then...
|
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Wes, You and I have been on this board and having fun with these old trucks for quite a while. I can say that I have lost more than $376.00 over the years, between bads deals and "not as described" parts. Just thankful, it wasn't more than that. As for retribution - seems karma works well. It always comes back around. :ito:

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Just got off the phone with him...he said he was sending your money out tomorrow. I said my cousin is a navy diver and lives in Everett wash and could bring him the rest of the cash for the blazer and load it up. He kinda backed track at that point and started getting pissed off. All in all.we actually talked about 10 mins he acted like he was drunk or high. He said he had connections and everybody that was calling him was going to be in trouble. I told him to please call the police and give them all the info about the transaction. He didn't seem to think that was a good idea. I was polite and to the point about not screwing my buddy and do the right thing. He agreed and said he would...good luck..and I'm your buddy Ray..

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Why don't you go there with a couple guys and a baseball bat and get your money back? I doubt he's going to pay you on Friday... He obviously tried to scam you. What actually happened to the blazer? Did it even exist??

For me I do not call the cops, I am a retired cop and know the workings, courts are nice but I am more of an instant
gratification guy myself. That said what's going on Wes? High noon has passed is it time to blow up a phone? |

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Violence is not needed, these type of people are usually not tough guys. Intimidation works wonders, I have had to physically collect on debts such as this and have not ever had to resort to anything more than a heavy suggestion of getting violent. You could always take his television, I don't know why but people pay at the threat of taking their T.V.. Especially as you are walking out the door with it.

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Well one of you guys received a phone call from Scott a few minutes ago. Scott has had so many calls he couldn't remember witch number is mine...
Anyway he is supposedly at the western union outlet now. He called for whatever info he needed from me. I called him and got the voice mail, so I had my wife text him my information. He hasn't called me back, so once my wife gets to work she will check the western union outlet at her store and see if the money is there. If not, theres a hangin to be done!! er I mean phone blowing up. It takes Beth an hour to get to work so stay tuned. WES |

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Well Scott is still getting the stray call here and there... I just got off the phone with him. I want to give him the opertunity to perform. So lets hold off the calls untill he has that chance. I know he has been given many chances and most of you don't think he will follow through, heck I feel the same way... However if there is even a small chance I feel we should give it to him. WES

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
How much longer you giving him?
|
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Probably another hour... It is hard for me to be angry now because my latest grandaughter Cheyenne arrived today. 7lbs 6oz! :metal::metal::metal: Got to make plans to go to the hospitol to see her for the first time. WES

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Well, I'm certain enough he's not going to pay that I'm willing to put up this offer:
Scumbag pays, I buy everyone on here that's been a part of this escapade of justice two good beers (sad, I only get to drink Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi). He doesn't pay...unfortunately, my sincere feeling....I buy the new Grandpa a couple of beers and the rest of you get to watch him drink it...Hahahaha! At this point, if WES is on the "I'm resolved to whatever happens from this scum" list, so am I. There's a new life on board. What REALLY matters? :ben::bann::bann::bann::bann::bann::bann::cong: |
Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Congrats on being a grandpa, I don't know you but I think that Cheyenne is fortunate to have you as her grandpa. If you are good with your resolve over this ass good for you as you are a good man. As for the rest of us I say we continue the calls, we can put his # on our phones and whenever you have a bad day take it out on the scum with a nasty call, as long as Wes is good with this. [I might do this anyway]

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.
Hey Wes Congrats on little Cheyenne!
